Do you reckon that the children of Sophie and Edward will be taking on a hands-on-approach to royal life when they are older? or do you think they will have a more private life?
And I heard you say...
You should be, you could be, why can't we?
You should be, you should be with me...
We could be, why don't we, can you see?
You should be, you should be with me...

As of now, I believe they'll have more of a private life.
They made us many promises, more than I can remember, but they never kept any but one; they promised to take our land, and they took it.~Red Cloud

They have no royal titles they are Lady and Viscount so I see them having more private life. Especially once Charles ascends the throne.

FanDianaFancy

More private. They get the best of both worlds.

the Wessexes chose let their kids stay out spotlight because the couple not chose their kids have titles when their parents got marries i respect that..

When Louise was born by premature and paparazzi not close her because oif eyes they later she can get in public sometimes..

She has a squint or cast in one of her eyes I don't think that it is good if she is kept inside because of  the cast in the one eye. The trend is to mainstream children and comparatively speaking I don't think this is a huge issue (it can be corrected by surgery or by glasses or even eye exercise to get the muscles working properly).  The actress Norma Shearer was a huge film star (1920s-1940s)  and had a cast in one of her eyes. She had some minor surgery and was able to be photographed for films (using eye exercise) and her cast was unnoticed.

I don't understand why the girls eye has not been corrected by surgery. My cousin's daughter had the same problem at birth and it was corrected and no one would ever know ther was a problem. Perhaps she may have it done before the wedding , even, providing there are not other known conditions surrounding this... Lovely wee girl....

What I don't understand is why I have read over and over again that one of Louise's eyes turns outwards when in photograph after photograph it quite clearly turns inwards?

Anyway I think it's ridiculous if it really is true that she's been kept out of photographs for such a silly reason.  She's as pretty and fun to see in a photograph as any other little girl of her age.  I really want to believe that her parents would not have been ashamed of her in this way.

To people asking why she hasn't simply had it corrected, I think it's highly likely that she has a range of mild neurological problems stemming from oxygen deprivation at birth. I thought I could detect a slight lack of coordination in one arm too. The eye may not have a good nerve feed, and just straightening it cosmetically may not do anything to how well she can use it, therefore making the operation not worth the inevitable risks.   When she is older she can help to make the decision.

I understood that the Wessexes were advised by doctors against the surgery.  I don't remember hearing a reason given.

I am sure they have gotten the advice of the best medical professionals.

I don't believe for a minute that Edward and Sophie are ashamed of Louise's eye condition. I think like Princess Anne with her children want Louise and James to have a normal private childhood. Why would they allow her to be a bridesmaid at such a high profile wedding if that were the case?. I thought she was awfully cute and charming she did her part to perfection.

There are eye exercises and treatment. The actress Norma Shearer had a cast in her eye (very notable in some early pics of her). She became a major flm star in the twenties thirties and forties and was able to work the eye muscles and exercise them so the flaw in the eye never showed in her films or publicity shots.

Prince Edward and Sophie have rightsful to protect their kids to raise kids and protect their private lifes since Sophie married to Prince Edward in June 19,1999 but both been married for 12 years..

Sophie did took Louise for eye surgery and makes sure look good and she dont wanted her kids in spotlight because of paparazzi but Louise been born prematures and Sophie almost lost her lifes dues etopic pregnant and Sophie did try get IVF pregnant for first times successful..

Prince Edward and Sophie chose not let kids have titles

There are a range of eye conditions at birth - and some can be treated and some cannot.  I haven't even looked at a picture of Louise long enough to figure out if she has esotropia (inward) or exotropia (outward) nor does it matter.  She may - or may not - have related eye conditions that are not observable by the casual observer.

There are enough sub-specialities for the eye - ranging from neuro-opthamologists to glaucoma and retinal specialists and so forth.  I 'm pretty sure that Edward & Sophie have sought and been given the very best advice by the very best eye doctors.

As I haven't seen a picture of Louise wearing eyeglasses, my opinion is that there is very little that can be done for her at this time except for ongoing observation & monitoring.  In other words, Louise's eyes are quite likely to remain the same for the foreseeable future.

I hope that Edward and Sophie continue to shelter Louise and their son from life in the royal fishbowl, and continue to let her participate fully in life's exciting opportunties - such as being in a wedding party.

Thanks  Canroyal.
I take your  advice.
I would  assume there can be  surgery,  risky, how  risky?
My neice  had one that  roamed, lazy  eye, wore glasses and  had  the surgery  when she  was  about a  2nd  grader.
She  still  wore glasses  after  that  for a while.  Now  as a   16  yr.old,fine.She  stopped  wearing glassess  about  4th grade.
The glasses  were  to  strenghten  the eye.

CanRoyal

I would guess (just a guess) that because Louise does not wear glasses (at least that I've not seen) - her eye condition is not expected to change. It's probably best to leave them.

I am of the opinion that Louise can see fairly well.  I watched her at the wedding and she seemed like your average 7 year old.  Mostly I think it bothers some people to look AT Louise, but that's because we are used to looking at people's eyeS when we are looking at them.
