It's Christmas time again and the royals in Europe are making preparations to celebrate the festive season in many ways — some are "at work" on December 25th, others are taking well-deserved holidays and others are spreading Christmas cheer as much as they can. So let's take a closer look into the traditions and habits of the European royals at Christmas.

Thank you Marine for the overview of European royal Christmas. IMO the Dutch, Luxembourg and Lichtenstein families tend to keep it very low key. The AAA team was not at Sinterklass' arrival this year in Wassenar. (Dutch posters suggested they might have gotten a bit old for it.)

Belgians typically attend a Christmas concert and then spend the actual days quietly. Some of them are in India with TM and the children.

Danes will host a series of New Year's parties for government and foreign diplomats. Tiara watchers take note!
