QuoteDapper Prince Harry, complete with top hat and tails, charmed the ladies at Royal Ascot yesterday – but it was his giggling cousin Zara Phillips who stole the show.

The Queen's granddaughter was all touchy-feely in the sunshine as she appeared to break with tradition to greet Prince Philip, Princess Michael of Kent and Prince Charles with kisses.

But the 33-year-old remembered the protocol when it came to Her Majesty, with the royals' newest mum producing an elegant curtsey.

Earlier Zara, her mother Princess Anne and rugby-playing husband Mike Tindall, 35, joined the 46,000 crowd in cheering the Queen as she arrived for the opening day of the horseracing calendar's most prestigious meeting.

Always giddy about Ascot. Zara always seems to radiate a genuinely good attitude overall.
