She is niece to both the couple, as her father is the king's only full brother, and her mother is the queen's older sister (2 of the queen's siblings are married to siblings of the king). As Decho's father is the Gyaltshab (king's regent for the east) she is often seen with her aunt and uncle at events though usually with her parents.

The royal couple posted a photo to wish a happy New Years.
