Husband of former Japanese princess begins work as lawyer in US | NHK WORLD-JAPAN News

QuoteThe husband of former Princess Mako of Japan has begun working as a lawyer in the US state of New York.

Komuro Kei has been registered as an attorney since he passed the state's bar exam last October. He has been working at a law firm in the state, with his title recently changed from law clerk to associate.

Okuno Yoshihiko heads a law firm in Japan, where Komuro worked before moving to the United States.

Okuno said Komuro told him on Wednesday morning by phone that he officially started working as a lawyer on Monday.

It can be confirmed that Komuro was registered as a lawyer on Monday on the website of the New York State Court.

I am happy to see Komuro Kei succeed through hard work and study. It isn't easy to build a career as a lawyer in the US. He will show that he can support Mako, live well, and find career success in the US.
