Such happy news, I am so pleased for them  :) Under the terms of the Act of Succession (1979) a child must be raised in Sweden to remain eligible for a place in the line of succession. Madeleine and Chris will have to decide to move back to Sweden so that their baby may remain 5th in line to the throne. This is a relatively distant position and of course, the more children that Princess Victoria has and the prospect of Prince Carl Philip marrying and having children, will push the child`s rights back even further. Perhaps Madeleine may decide to remain in America after all? Either way, I wish them every happiness for their future together  :)

The King's sollicitor Axel Calissendorff announced in Svensk Damiting that the children of Princess Madeleine will be Royal Highnesses with the titles of Princes and Princesses. :crown:

That also means they will be included in the royal succession line, if they are raised in the evangelical faith and in Sweden. And they will need Parliament's approval to get married.

Princess Madeleine's baby is due in March and will be 5th in the succession line.
