Presentation of the credentials of new Ambassadors from Mauritius, Haiti, Lesotho and Singapore to King Willem-Alexander.

The credentials were received on behalf of the King, who is present online, by ambassador Pieter Jan Kleiweg de Zwaan at the Dutch embassy in Brussels.

Queen Maxima was interviewed by Matthijs van Nieuwkerk on the occasion of her fiftieth birthday. The interview will be broadcast on Monday 17 May at 8.33 pm on NPO1.

May 20, Queen Maxima as Honorary Chairwoman of the More Music in the Classroom foundation visited the A.S.

Talmas School and unveiled an interactive musical play set in the nearby Music Playground. Afterwards she attended preparations for the Eurovision Song Contest.

More Music in the Classroom is a partner of the Eurovision Song Contest.

One of my favorite Dutch events is the annual "Make a Difference Day" or as it's now known NL DOET. This is where volunteers throughout the country go to do clean up work at schools, retirement homes, parks etc... Typically the monarch/consort and other adult member of the Royal House and Royal Family participate.

The new building is energy neutral, the coffee is produced climate neutral and the outdoor space is designed to enhance biodiversity.
