A highlight in the New Year Honours list is that Mrs Rowena Feilden is now a Dame Commander of The Royal Victorian Order. Mrs Feilden is for over 50 years a lady-in-waiting to her friend The Princess Royal and was in the car when Anne was almost kidnapped in the 70s.

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for Sri Lanka.

Mrs Timothy Holderness-Roddam and Mr Charles Davies are in attendance.

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this afternoon arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo, and was received by the British High Commissioner to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka (His Excellency Mr Andrew Patrick).

Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Admiral Laurence, afterwards carried out the following engagements in Colombo to commemorate the Seventy-Fifth Anniversary of United Kingdom-Sri Lanka Bilateral Relations.

The Princess Royal, President, United Kingdom Fashion and Textile Association, visited MAS Active, Katunayake.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Save the Children UK, later visited the Save the Children Sri Lanka Head Office, 18 Sinsapa Road, Colombo, to mark its Fiftieth Anniversary.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Save the Children UK, afterwards visited a Save the Children Sri Lanka programme at Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children, Gnanartha Pradeepaya Road.

Her Royal Highness this evening called upon The President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and Mrs Wickremesinghe at The President's House, Colombo.

The Princess Royal subsequently attended a Dinner given by The President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and Mrs Wickremesinghe at The President's House to commemorate the Seventy-Fifth Anniversary of United Kingdom-Sri Lanka Bilateral Relations.

Her Royal Highness this morning visited the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Sri Dalada Maligawa, Sri Dalada Veediya, Kandy.

The Princess Royal this afternoon met representatives of the Tamil Community at Jaffna Public Library, Kankesanthurai Road, Jaffna.

Her Royal Highness later visited the Halo Trust De-mining site, the United Nations Development Programme and International Organisation for Migration Resettlement site, Muhamalai.

Her Royal Highness this morning visited the British High Commission Office, 389 Bauddhaloka Mawatha, to commemorate the Seventy Fifth Anniversary of United Kingdom-Sri Lanka Bilateral Relations.

The Princess Royal, President, Commonwealth War Graves Commission, later laid a wreath at Jawatte Cemetery, Torrington Avenue.

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited Vajira Pillayar Kovil Hindu Temple, Galle Road.

The Princess Royal, President, the English-Speaking Union of the Commonwealth, subsequently visited the British Council, 49 Alfred House Gardens.

Her Royal Highness, President, the Mission to Seafarers, this afternoon visited the Mission to Seafarers Colombo, 26 Church Street.

The Princess Royal later visited Hatch Works, Sir Baron Jayathilake Mawatha, Colombo Fort.

Her Royal Highness, President, the Mission to Seafarers, subsequently attended a Key Supporters Reception at the Cathedral of Christ the Living Saviour, 368 Bauddhaloka Mawatha.

The Princess Royal this evening attended a Reception given by the British High Commissioner to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka (His Excellency Mr Andrew Patrick) at the Residence in Colombo to commemorate the Seventy Fifth Anniversary of United Kingdom-Sri Lanka Bilateral Relations.

There were 4 meetings today?  I only read 3, so what am I missing....anyhow Anne knows duty and loyalty to the family and the country.....she sure could teach some a history lesson and manners yet I don't think think Meghan is willing to learn anything unless it is the increase in her bank account.....boy did she play Harry for a fool.
