Mr Andrew Bailey (Governor of the Bank of England) was received by The King this morning.

Ms Angela Macro was received by The King upon her appointment as British High Commissioner to Papua New Guinea.

Ms Joanne McPhail was received by The King upon her appointment as British High Commissioner to the Gabonese Republic.

Dr Alastair McPhail was also received by His Majesty.

Mr Alastair Long was received in audience by The King and kissed hands upon his appointment as His Majesty's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Mrs Long was also received by His Majesty.
Mrs Alison Thorpe was received by The King upon her appointment as British High Commissioner-designate to the Republic of Rwanda.

Mr Reuben Thorpe was also received by His Majesty.

The King received Admiral Sir Antony Radakin (Chief of the Defence Staff) at Buckingham Palace this afternoon.

His Majesty held a Council at 4.15pm.

There were present: the Rt Hon Penelope Mordaunt MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Victoria Atkins MP (Secretary of State for Health and Social Care), the Rt Hon Claire Coutinho MP (Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero) and the Rt Hon Melvyn Stride MP (Secretary of State for Work and Pensions).

The Lord Armstrong and Mr Owen Thompson MP were sworn in as members of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council.

Mr Vaughan Gething MS made affirmation as a member of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council.

Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon Sir Clive Alderton (Principal Private Secretary to Their Majesties) was in attendance.

The Rt Hon Penelope Mordaunt MP had an audience of The King before the Council.

Later, the Rt Hon Rishi Sunak MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of His Majesty at Buckingham Palace.

Her Majesty, Patron, SafeLives, subsequently held a Roundtable Discussion with Safe Young Lives Changemakers.
