[WilliamDaily] Has Zara's on-off romance fallen by the wayside again?

Has Zara's on-off romance fallen by the wayside again?

Zara Phillips's topsy-turvy relationship with jump jockey Richard
Johnson is starting to make the Grand National course look like a
canter along the beach.

Ever since I reported last year that racing's most glamorous pair
were stepping out together again - following a hiatus - all seemed to
be going swimmingly.

But at the Game Conservancy Ball on Thursday night, the affair seemed
to be heading for the rocks once more. "We were expecting Zara and
Richard to pitch up together, so when he came alone, it seemed a
little strange," says one reveller.

"Then, once the evening got going, he and another jockey, Adrian
Wintle, had a bet between themselves as to who could first - ahem -
charm a very attractive three-day eventer called Polly Jackson. I
actually saw them write out the betting slip."

Johnson, as is so often the case, took up the early running. "When I
last looked, Richard was leading the lady in question on to the dance
floor," adds my source. "His competititor was looking on from the
other side of the table with barely concealed envy."

At Cheltenham this year, it was a different story. After Johnson had
won the Champion Hurdle, Zara gave him a very public congratulatory
kiss (below) in the winners' enclosure.

I wish Zara would see that he's a good for nothing grade A jerk.

ZARA Phillips is the clear winner in our fashion stakes so we were delighted to team up with her to swap style tips. "You girls look lovely," she smiled as she checked out our floral dresses on Ladies' Day at Royal Ascot.

And we were pretty impressed with her white suit, contrasting black hat and with broad white band, too.

Zara confided in us that she'd decided to tone down her look after her thigh-high-split Gharani Strok dress caused a bit of a stir at the start of the week.

"I've chosen a more sedate outfit today," she giggled. "My suit's by Ashley Isham."

We loved her ankle-strap pumps, too - very Margot Fonteyn.

If you thought rivalry among horse trainers was tough, nothing beats the competition among women on Ladies' Day.

Bond Girl Catherine McQueen was one of the first through the gates in a slinky brown dress and hat made with crisps. She must have heard about the hefty prices in the restaurants and packed her lunch on her head

But it was 80s pop princess Sinitta who really caught our eye in her peach Lycra mini-dress. 3Style loves a bit of vintage but some things really are best left in the attic to rot.

Luckily, with her new husband Andy Wilner on her arm she managed to avoid an awkward collision with ex-love Simon Cowell.

That left the Pop Idol judge all to ourselves and gave us a chance to hand out a few fashion hints on his unusual taste in waistlines.

And when Karen asked what was happening under his gold waistcoat he laughed: "I'll be upholding tradition and my trousers today."

Zara finished seventh in a race yesterday.  It was out of 57 riders, so not too shabby.  The Sun (click above) has a photo and a few sentances on it.

Cool!A Zara board!I like it.
I heard that Zara was hoping to compete in this year's Olympic games as an equestrian, but couldn't because her horse,Toytown, got injured.Zara still has a chance. The 2008 games and more.Do you think she'll compete in the future?I chose 'yes' because Zara is an excellent horsewoman.
