The Anna's Hummingbird was named for a 19tyh century duchess, Anna Massena.     
Anna Massena, Duchess of Rivoli was the spouse of Duke Victor Massena.

What fabulous looking birds! I love the bright pink necks and heads. One of the birds pictured looked as if it had luminescent green feathers, but it may have been that they were wet.
