The Lily Font was first designed by Prince Albert, the husband of Queen Victoria.     
The elaborate floriferous design was made in silver gilt by London silversmiths E. J. & W. Barnard.   
The Lily Font was first used at the baptism of Victoria and Albert's first child, Princess Victoria.
