Title: Belton House
Post by: LouisFerdinand on January 21, 2017, 10:01:53 PM
Belton House is a country house in Belton near Grantham, Lincolnshire, England.
King George III visited Belton House.
At the beginning of the First World War, Adelbert Brownlow-Cust, the 3rd Earl Brownlow offered Belton House and park to the Government for War Service. In August 1914, the house and park were used as the assembly point for the 11th (Northern) Division before its deployment.

Over the course of 300 years the Brownlow family amassed thousands of books at Belton House.
The books reflect their interests in politics, history, English and Italian literature, music, travel, topography, and local history.
