Yes, he is very much like that, I agree. On the year you mentioned it was his military unit that was trooping its colors. Arguably it may have been appropriate for him to take a more prominent place; however, your point about his bulk is well taken.

I definitely believe he should have been there, but it should have been low key and not, as you say, front and center. After all, she would have had no problem asking Charles or Edward to do the honors. Many times Camilla has walked alone while Charles is in attendance with the Queen. This shows her mindset. I think she may spend her last years being very close to Andrew precisely because she is his mother and he is her disgraced but still loved son, but also because everyone else is busy doing the royal work of the monarchy. But I dearly hope she keeps him behind the scenes. Also, I doubt she will be so generous to Harry, the other disgraced royal.

Princess Cassandra, I agree with your recommendation that Edward or Charles could have walked her to her seat. I know that Andrew is her son and he's in a terrible situation and she probably wants to comfort him, as his mother, but she should keep her comfort and support behind the scenes. I wonder how Harry will be handled in the future? A good question.

Just how does anyone think they can talk HM out of anything even if it is in regards to the family/Firm/monarchy? She will do as she damn well pleases I think......and at her age and having served the country her entire life she is entitles to have whomever she wants to walk her down the aisle....this is about her husband and not anything else. This was a family event, not a public/state event and HM had every right to have it *her* way in all things.  When the time comes I really think Charles will put his brother way on the back burner out of the public eyes....now that is for HM to decide regardless of what anyone else thinks.
