QuoteThe Centre for Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence (CEME) and East London and Essex University Technical College (Elutec), in Rainham, received a Royal visit from the Duke of York, Prince Andrew, yesterday.

The visit gave Prince Andrew the opportunity to look round the centre, of which he is a patron, and speak to students and staff.

Students Christopher Attridge and William Tighe, both from Romford, demonstrated their model of the National Grid to the Royal visitor.

The students said: "It was exciting and a privilege to meet The Duke of York. He was interested in what we were doing."
