Denmark?s Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine are celebrating their tenth birthday today. The Danish Royal House has released new images to mark the occasion.

The twins received their own monogram today. Here are the single and joint mongrams for the members of the Danish Royal Family who bear the style of HM or HRH.

Prince Vincent?s monogram consists of the Prince?s first initial ?V? with a fixed classic left wing combined with a doubled lined right wing. King Christian II?s crown has been placed above the initial. Princess Josephine?s monogram consists of the Princess?s first initial ?J? and it is drawn as a calligraphic. She also has King Christian II?s crown placed above the initial.

The monograms were designed by graphic designer Charlotte S?eborg Ohlsen, with professional assistance from graphic designer Mads Quistgaard and graphic designer Cecilie Kirkeskov Knudsen.

It has been announced that Christian's confirmation will be held on May 15.

Excellent news! While it is likely to be more private than the confirmations of his older cousins Nicolai and Felix, I'm glad that Christian is finally being able to participate in this milestone.

It was announced that Christian will be attending Herlufsholm Gymnasium in the fall.

Its located in N?stved which is 80km south of Copenhagen. It is the same boarding school Nikolai attended.

The young royal attends school at Traneg?rdsskolen in Gentofte with her three siblings. She currently resides in the Chancellery at Fredensborg Palace.

Crown Princess Mary comments on Prince Christian?s new boarding school ? Royal Central

Crown Princess Mary spoke for the first time about her son, Prince Christian?s boarding school choice. Her Royal Highness said that both she and the Crown Prince are very optimistic about their eldest son?s choice of a new school. When the Crown Princess was set to leave the event, she was asked by the press about her thoughts about her son moving away from home. The Danish Crown Princess then replied: ?We support his choice of high school.?

" Due to the corona situation, guests from abroad will not be participating in Prince Christian's confirmation. This unfortunately means that the immediate family from France, Great Britain and Australia will not be present on the day either. Thus, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie and their children have had to to cancel because of the current quarantine guidelines, and the same goes for John and Susan Donaldson in London. With regard to the family in Australia, it is not possible for them to participate because of exit restrictions, says communications director Lene Balleby. "

Not surprising his Australian relatives can't come but Joachim and his family will also not make it from France.

That?s too bad.  I am quite intrigued by this confirmation tradition.  I was confirmed in the Anglican Church at age 12.  There were some lessons then there were a group of 15 of us confirmed in a ceremony.  But not the big deal that IA and now Christian are having. 

Any one on board with more insight on the traditions?

It's a shame that the current situation limits the number of guests especially those in Prince Christian's extended family which includes his maternal grandfather and step-grandmother.
