But isn't James a prince just as Louise is a princess? Doesn't baby James inherit not Edward's earldom but his Dukedom of Edinburgh, which Edward is supposed to inherit upon the deaths of both his parents? I will note that Sophie is a princess too, HRH The Princess Edward. I find the down grade of this family to be unfair and just plain dumb considering you have damaged goods Charles & Camilla, divorced Andrew, and twice unhappily married Princess Anne.

Legally, yes, they are prince and princess. But their parents have said they want their children to be styled as children of an Earl instead.
