Why a primetime prince is bad news ~ Scotsman

YOU would travel far and yet still fail to find anyone who loves a military parade more than this observer. Similarly, the stench of outright republicanism will never sully this column. However, I am moved to protest at the wall-to-wall coverage by both BBC News 24 and Sky of Prince Harry's passing-out parade at Sandhurst.

Could it be they heard that Sky was planning to do the whole thing 'live' and just had to follow suit, and to hell with the cost? Or could it be they decided to cover the whole thing simply because the insatiable demands of 24-hour TV news
