Today The Queen held two virtual Audiences via video link from Windsor Castle.

Their Excellencies Mr. Elin Suleymanov, from Azerbaijan and Mrs. Mikaela Kumlin Granit from Sweden both presented their 'Letters of Credence', confirming their new roles as Ambassadors to the UK.

His Excellency Mr Elin Suleymanov was received in audience by The Queen via video link today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Court of St James's.

Mrs Lala Abdurahimova was also received by Her Majesty.

Her Excellency Mrs Mikaela Kumlin Granit was received in audience by The Queen via video link this afternoon and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Kingdom of Sweden to the Court of St James's.

Mr Jakob Granit was also received by Her Majesty.
Sir Philip Barton (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs) was present.

Mrs Jennifer Tolhurst (Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Essex) was present at Stansted Airport this morning upon the Arrival of The Sultan of Oman and welcomed His Majesty on behalf of The Queen.

The Sultan of Oman and Her Highness the Hon Lady visited The Queen today.

Her Majesty held a Council via video link at 2.30pm.

There were present: the Rt Hon Jacob Rees-Mogg MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Nadine Dorries MP (Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport), the Rt Hon Sajid Javid MP (Secretary of State for Health and Social Care) and the Rt Hon Grant Shapps MP (Secretary of State for Transport).

The Rt Hon Nigel Adams MP, the Rt Hon Dorothy Bain, the Rt Hon Simon Clarke MP and the Rt Hon Robert Stewart MP were sworn in as members of Her Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council.

Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen via telephone this evening.

OH my goodness, HM looks so thin, she has really lost weight for her clothes just hang on her.  It shocked me to see her like that, she always was so robust and full of energy......I sure hope someone in the family is keeping a very close eye on her at this age for weight loss can be stressful and damaging, as I well know, just ask my doc as I have lost almost 15 pounds is 6 weeks and he wants answers.....good luck Doc...

I am joined by the whole Royal Family in being deeply saddened by the news of the death of Archbishop Desmond Tutu, a man who tirelessly championed human rights in South Africa and across the world.

"I remember with fondness my meetings with him and his great warmth and humour.

"Archbishop Tutu's loss will be felt by the people of South Africa, and by so many people in Great Britain, Northern Ireland and across the Commonwealth, where he was held in such high affection and esteem.

Queen Mum, Queen Mary & Queen Alexandra were all made members 'after' their husband's accession.

HRH Duchess of Cornwall got it before Charles accession.

Yeah, I was reading about that.  Makes this even more interesting.  Quite the vote of confidence by QE towards Cams.  Making it easier for the public to accept Cams as Queen Consort? Personally , I have never had an issue with Queen Cams.  But I realize that many do.   But maybe a change of heart knowing that QE approves?

Camilla is the hidden jewel among all the gems HM has......she has not put one foot wrong and her devotion to furbabies and domestic violence is to me the most honorable charities she could have.  She has put a huge smile on Charles face and made him more approachable and secure within himself I believe.  What an honor, she well deserves it!

As Patron, The Queen has sent this message to @DiabetesUK on the 100th anniversary of the first successful insulin treatment.

Leonard Thompson, a 14-year-old boy dying from type 1 diabetes, became the first person to receive a life saving  insulin injection on 11th January 1922.

I?m delighted that Her Majesty The Queen has given permission for a special medal be awarded to all those who deployed to Kabul in August last year, honouring the heroism of those who carried out the biggest emergency evacuation for decades and rescuing 15,000 people.

Her Majesty today received members of local volunteer groups who were introduced to The Queen by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk (the Lady Dannatt).

The Mayor of the Borough of King's Lynn and West Norfolk (Councillor Harry Humphrey) presented an Address from the Borough on the occasion of the Seventieth Anniversary of Her Majesty's Accession.

Today at Windsor Castle, Rear Admiral James Macleod was received by The Queen upon relinquishing his appointment as Defence Services Secretary.
 
Her Majesty also received Major General Eldon Millar as he takes up the role as the new Defence Services Secretary.
