With the focus on Invictus Games, it's been awhile since we've heard news from some of their other charities. Here's news from African Parks. Prince Harry is the organization's president.

2,000 Southern White Rhino to be Released into the Wild Over Next 10 Years | African Parks

African Parks has purchased the world?s largest captive rhino breeding operation in a bid to rescue and rewild the rhino to safe and well-managed protected areas across Africa.

Johannesburg, South Africa, 04 September 2023 African Parks, a conservation NGO that manages 22 protected areas in partnership with 12 governments across Africa, announced that it will rewild over 2,000 southern white rhino over the next 10 years. African Parks has stepped in as the new owner of the world?s largest private captive rhino breeding operation, ?Platinum Rhino?, a 7,800-hectare property in the North West province of South Africa, which currently holds 2,000 southern white rhino, representing up to 15% of the world?s remaining wild population.

Meghan Markle has officially abandoned her bid to trademark the name of her Archetypes podcast, suggesting she is moving on from the award-winning show.

The "strategic shift" could see her take her podcasting in an all new direction, after the disintegration of her deal with streaming giant Spotify earlier this year.

Following the split, speculation arose that the royal could move the show to another platform, such as Amazon, but new documents from U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) hint that any platform migration would likely also involve a rebrand.

Here's the latest news from Archewell as Nigerian school girls receive new back to school materials.

As students around the world returned to school this month, The Archewell Foundation supported girls? education and health by sending school supplies and menstrual products to young scholars in Nigeria with The GEANCO Foundation. 

GEANCO provides critical health care and education services in Nigeria. Its David Oyelowo Leadership Scholarship provides full tuition, medical care, and social and emotional support to young female victims of terrorism and gender inequality in Nigeria.

Afam Onyema, CEO of GEANCO, joined the Archewell staff to help fill backpacks with supplies and menstrual products. AWF?s support will also provide menstrual health education for 2,500 girls in the region GEANCO serves, supporting the health and well-being of girls pursuing their education.

It?s absolutely essential that school kids, especially girls, receive these sorts of supplies in third world countries. Some girls? schools have been attacked and pupils murdered and kidnapped in Nigeria as well.

I saw that about the young girls being kidnapped recently in Nigeria, that upset me as I can only imagine the hell they are going through.  These men who did this are evil and do not deserve a place on our planet ....they way women or female child are being treated since the beginning of time is horrific and it continues to this every day.   I now know why I always have gotten in trouble with my mouth/opinions in life as I a not afraid to criticize the male population for their treatment of women. Deb always used to tell me almost weekly,  Sherry not all men are evil.....yes I know that for Uncle Harry as a good guy yet some other I know.......Grrrrrrr

Sorry for going off topic yet I wish there was some tiny little thing I could do for those girls.  And that is one of the reasons I like Princess Eugenie for her stand against slavery for it is mostly young girls!

On the other hand they could make a start with rightwing Sky News (Aus) and its hosts who rarely let a day go by without insulting and degrading Harry and Meghan under the guise of editorial comment or gossip from British commentators.

And the same with a certain giggling breakfast host on Channel 9 (whose own private life wouldn?t stand up to scrutiny) having hysterical fits of laughter over news reports from British RRs about a couple he has never met nor is likely to.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are term limits for the role of President. Based on the statement, I believe that his term just came to an end and there will be a new appointee.

From the top management, he's the first demotion, IF there is any other new top position demotion, then yes 'term'.  I doubt it though, the CEO is the same, the CFO is the same and since it's creation.

He hasn't done much for them since Megxit. To keep the involvement as lowest as possible, I'd expect at least 30 working days a year with whatever activity Harry can announce or do or PR or Marketing directly in reference to this organization.

Second, I don't know there is a need to be needlessly negative about this piece of news and insult him. He's made a new appointment, it has nothing to the RF and has everything to do with him working with them for 6 years and finding to be deserved to be a member of the board.
