The Palace of Caserta is a palace in Italy. It is just outside Naples. It was built by King Charles VII of Naples (Charles V of Sicily).

Breda Castle is located in north Brabant, The Netherlands. Johann IV, Count of Nassau enlarged the castle. Count Henry III of Nassau-Breda changed the castle into a Renaissance palace in 1536.

The Yusupov Palace is a palace located in the town of Koreiz, near Yalta in Crimea in Russia. It was built for Prince Felix Yusupov-Sourmorokov-Elston.

Heidenreichstein Castle was built at the end of the 12th century and the beginning of the 13th century. It was long owned by the Palffy family.   
It lies in the village of Heidenreichstein in the province of Lower Austria in Austria.

The Quirinal Palace was built as the summer residence in 1573 by Pope Gregory XIII in Rome, Italy. In 1871, Rome became the capital of the new Kingdom of Italy. Quirinal Palace became the official residence of the Kings of Italy.

Paretz Palace is located in Brandenburg of Germany. It was the residence of King Frederick William III and Queen Louise of Prussia.

Burg Freundsberg is a castle in Tyrol, Austria. In 1467 the castle was purchased by Archduke Sigismund of Austria. He ruled over Further Austria and the County of Tyrol.

Darlowo Castle is located in Darlowo, Poland. The castle's construction began in 1352 in the reign of Boguslaw V, A Duke of Pomerania.

The Chateau de Chenonceau is a French chateau spanning the River Cher near the village of Chenonceaux in France.   
After King Henry II died in 1559, his widow Queen Catherine de' Medici made Chenonceau her own favorite residence.

Karlstejn Castle was founded in 1348 by Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor-elect and King of Bohemia. The castle served as a place for safekeeping the Imperial Regalia as well as the Bohemian/Czech crown jewels, holy relics, and other royal treasures.

Near Lisbon, Portugal, Sao Jorge Castle, also known as St. George Castle, was built by the Moors in the 11th century to protect them from Christian invaders. In the 12th century, it was conquered by the man who became the first King of Portugal, Afonso I, and turned into a royal palace.

The Old Royal Palace was the first royal palace of modern Greece. It was designed by Bavarian architect Friedrich von Gartner for King Otto and Queen Amalia of Greece. Funds were donated by Otto's father, King Ludwig I of Bavaria.

The Palace of Tsar Alexis I of Russia was built in the second half of the 17th century in Kolomenskoye. It was built in 1667 to 1672.

Augustenborg Palace (Castle) is in Augustenborg, Als Island, Denmark. The palace owes its name to Duchess Auguste (1633-1701). She was the wife of Duke Ernest Gunther of Schleswig-Holstein.
