Princess Royal Launches Lake Victoria Hospital Ship (VIDEO)

A mobile hospital ship has been launched on Lake Victoria, bringing medical care to the residents of the area's 3,000 islands.

The lake borders Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya and islanders previously had to pay huge sums of money to hire a boat to take them to hospital.

The ship, provided by a UK-based charity, was launched by the Princess Royal.
