At his wedding, left side, we will see pictures of his granny, parents, extended family in the front. At the middle and back, I predict Randy Gerber, Cindy Crawford, George Clooney and Amal Clooney and his friends and acquaintances.
Eugenie's right side, the Windsor clan and very likely some family members of the Ferguson's.
There have been several articles about Jack lately. Hope we get lots of photos, because it won't be televised. He and Eugenie, especially Eugenie, know heaps of celebrities so those hoping/believing it will be celebrity-free are going to be disappointed.
Being in the business of alcohol, one expects from Jack all sorts of people in the liquor industry, some as I am predicting.
Eugenie is not so keen to celebrities as Beatrice, the later will have loads of celebrities and top models. Eugenie's friends are more from the circle of aristocrats that helped her get real jobs that matched with her profession. I'll make a predictable list later of those people.
I know that Major Ron Ferguson and Susan Barrantes are both deceased, but I do recall that Sarah's step-mother has remarried Sir Richard Swinson in recent years. I hope that we'll see Sarah's Ferguson relatives present at Eugenie's wedding.
Photos from Susan Deptford Ferguson's second wedding in 2012. The DoY, Sarah and their daughters were guests at the wedding.

Princess Eugenie sparks pregnancy rumours with Mother's Day Instagram post | HELLO! (https://www.hellomagazine.com/royalty/2020032486799/bookies-suspend-betting-princess-eugenie-royal-baby/)
I didn't detect anything in her post!
Exactly who is betting on this?
Sooner or later she will get pregnant, although I doubt she is. Jack and Eugenie went to the NHS just this week to delivery food. If pregnant, she wouldn't get close to any hospital.

People bet on royal babies all the time. ON their names or the date of their birth....
People go to betting shops and bet on all sorts of things. However I doubt that Eugenie is pregnant. I think most people in her position are postponing starting a family until all this is over.
I agree
@Curryong that most couples would hold off on starting a family now.

People deliver food. Provided they are healthy and take precautions I don't see that it is an issue. Im very grateful since Im not well that my neighbours have doen some shopping for me.
Glad that you have helpful neighbors
@QueenAlex. :thumbsup:
That's great
@QueenAlex Yes, Eugenie and Jack did a good deed, but if pregnant I don't think she'd risk getting near airborne hospitals.

No I doubt if she's pregnant.. but she's over a year married, so it is about the time one might noramally expect a baby on the way.

I can't seem to find out anything further on George Brooksbank's COVID condition. I'll keep poking around, if only to find the posting that said he was improving.
After 9 weeks in hospital, 5 weeks of the 9 in ICU/Ventilator, George Brooksbank is at home alive, and has thanked the NHS for saving him.
Wow. Five weeks in ICU..he was very, very ill. I'm very pleased to read that he's now home.
Yes, that must have been the most difficult time for the family, they were told 5 weeks ago that he had a high percentage of possibility of dying, and to brace themselves for a terrible news. Jack and Eugenie disclosed the information today, source of my comment comes from the article in the DM.

Congrats to them!! :vday2:
Yes, as I posted before it is wonderful news. However I hope Fergie keeps away from being interviewed about how great she and Andrew will be as grandparents, how close they still are to their girlies, and how much she will love the baby etc etc. I've had enough treacly stuff from her to last a lifetime.
Nor, I hope, will Andrew regard his becoming a grandfather as some kind of life raft to return rehabilitated to Royal life. With those two you never know what opportunities they will grab. And this baby will after all be a commoner and no doubt lead a very private life as he/she grows up. They won't need grandma Fergie dragging them into every conversation for the next twenty years as she explores new commercial opportunities. Cots, prams, baby clothes, car seats, perhaps.
Congratulations to the couple, I suspected with a picture of Eugenie this past Monday, the usual caption of the paparazzi, Eugenie shopping. It's the same picture being used last night and today's news of the pregnancy.

The same old tired choices will no doubt be speculated on. Arthur, Victoria, etc. I think they will choose a modern upperclass but not really traditional name that nobody else will pick.
I wouldn't be surprised however if Jack or Andrew appear as choices for middle names for a son, and Sarah, Beatrice or/and perhaps Elizabeth as middle names for a daughter.

Gender neutral. Traditional. Edgy. Forward looking with a nod to the past.
Perfect.

I agree. When I saw the pictures I wondered why they have not announced. I suspect they wanted to wait as long as possible after the wedding excitement settled down so they wouldn't steal Bea's and Edo's thunder. I also wonder if those little slippers were in the parcel Bea carried out of the baby gift store! ANYWAY, so very happy for them. It will be fun to see her pregnancy progress and to hear the great news. And of course the name guessing game is always fun.

Omid Scobie and Chris Ship have publicly stated their bias reporting with the Sussex's no matter what' from it's their home, to they will be house guests, to no keys were given. Hurried statement from Sussex's new PR to these two British Media boys. Then when bombarded with 'what about the furniture', they don't know about the dead of midnight movers or if and what about this.
The 1 month ago report of personnel at FC, clearly they were picking up, packing and moving.
Ultimately 2021 will be telling.
As distinct from the non biased reporting of people like Palmer, Jobson and English, I suppose!
And if you think that the Queen is going to publicly evict a much loved grandson from a property in 2021 which she leased him as a wedding gift, you need a reality check.
The Royal who does need his lease broken and an eviction performed is Andrew, who has been knee deep in corruption for years. It won't happen however. The Queen doesn't evict members of her family. See the Prince Michaels debacle years ago about their KP apartment, which they got to keep.
Andrew is still living in Royal Lodge, and the Kents still live in their place. harry's left the UK and has a house in America now. Whats the point of keeping him as official tenant of Frogmore?
Well, Harry quite obviously wants to be kept as a tenant at FC. We don't know what the Sussexes' plans for next year are, (you don't, I don't, and in fact nobody on this forum does) and there are plenty of people living in the US who can afford it who have a home in Britain or Europe.
His grandmother gave him FC on a lease and that's that. The latest story from the tabloids is that he and Eugenie (to whom Harry has always been close) arranged the sublet between themselves and then let the Queen and presumably her parents know afterwards.
Ultimately Jack and Eugene are living in FC. The monarch is the only one officially and technically to make about leasings and what not the crown estate corporation. The corporation has to notify the government.
Moving vans in the middle of night isnt exactly a good look. Makes it seem shady. Whatever the technicalities of the lease, for all intents and purposes its Eugenie and Jacks home now. Meghan and Harry live in California.
I think the narrative that its still H&Ms *official residence* is for tax purposes. I doubt they will spend any time there in the future.
As I said before nobody knows how much time Harry and Meghan are going to spend in the UK next year. Certainly nobody on this forum knows. And it remains the Sussexes' home, with Eugenie and Jack paying installed there, paying rent to them, a perfect arrangement really, for a very ugly and poky house.
Harry gets no tax benefits from the lease so he has his close cousin and her husband there at FC for the time being.

I dont know of any evidence that Harry wants to remain as tenant of Frogmore. What is the point? He and Meg are settled in the US, she clearly likes it a lot better there, and I doubt if she would willingly settle in England again.. so Harry's not going to want to move back. And if they HAVE done a deal with J and Eugenie and only told the queen afterwards I dont think that is going to go down well with the queen. It is a crown property.. she gave occupancy of it to harry as a wedding present, and I would guess that she has hoped that he would come back there to live... If he doesn't want to, and I dont think he does, it would be better for him to give it up and let someone else have it...
Well, we will have to wait and see what happens in 2021 won't we, rather than endlessly speculating that people we don't know won't want this, don't want to do that, wouldn't care for the other. It's all perception anyway, depending on whether we like or don't like the Royal concerned.
It's all guess work. 99% of what royals want, care about or intend to do or not do, is hidden away from public view. Every now and again an RR strikes gold with some leak from a palace insider and observers behave as if all RR's extremely knowledgable about every member of the RF. Well, they're not. It's not been a month since they were all chiming together that Harry was coming home and that was why FC was being brushed up.
I see them going to the UK similar to the Duke of Windsor. Night shifts cost double for any kind of job.
Quote from: wannable on November 22, 2020, 03:53:55 PM
I see them going to the UK similar to the Duke of Windsor. Night shifts cost double for any kind of job.
That depends, doesn't it, on whether you believe the bit in the Sun that reports that furniture and other things were removed in the middle of the night. I don't. You believe what you want. However there are other reports that no furniture went anywhere.
Harry and the Duke of Windsor's situation are completely and utterly different. For one thing it was made clear to the ex King-Emperor that he and his wife were better off in exile. They rarely even saw Queen Mary though they only lived across the Channel. On the other hand with Harry, Queen Elizabeth has made it plain, publicly and privately that if Harry and his family wanted to come back and be working royals again they could and can.
I don't think Harry wants that at all but without Covid we don't know how many trips back to the UK there will be for the Sussexes's next year and in the future, so it's all speculation again, depending on whether you like them or not. And you plainly don't, while I plainly do.
It may be that the queen hoped in January that Harry would come back, that they'd find Canada where they were then supposed to be settling not right for them and probably hoped that things would come about that Harry regretted leaving and would want to come home. Now I don't think that ther's any doubt that as long as he is with Meghan he wont want to come home. She would hardly say publicly anyway that she wasn't happy with Harry's decision or that he wasn't welcome...
My last post was in reply to the contention by wannabie that the Sussexes' situation was akin to the Duke and Duchess of Windsor's visits to the UK in the decades after 1936. I was pointing out that it was very unalike. For instance King George did not release a statement in 1936 stating that he loved his brother and would welcome him back at any time.
That would have been ridiculous, and so is the contention that Harry and Meghan are somehow the modern Duke and Duchess of Windsor. I repeat again, No-one knows what the Sussexes plans are for 2021 or how many times next year and the years afterwards that they will return to Britain, for whatever reason.
Of course George VI didn't release a statement about the Duke of Windsor, Royals didn't do that kind of thing at the time. I don't think anyone did...
The queen lives in a different era and perhaps felt the need to say something about her grandson's choice to move away.. and she made it clear that while he was still part of her family he was not part of the working family any more. I think she's hoping or at least did hope that he would change his mind in the following year and might come back.. so she's emphasized that the doors open. Hhowever I dont believe he will come back except for visits. Do you really think that Meghan wants to see teh UK again?
I don't know that Meghan wants to be in the UK all the time, as the British tabloids constant Aunt Sally ever again. No I don't. In the very difficult first couple of years many ex pats have great homesickness.
But to convert that to a hatred or even dislike for Britain and/or the British people is drawing a pretty long bow. She, (as well as Harry) still has friends in the UK, including a very longterm friend Lyndsey who lives in London. Meghan was always happy to meet British people connected to her charities and to chat to people in the crowds who came to see her.

She didn't have any choice, did she? She was a working royal, that's her job, to smile and be friendly to people at engagements. But I think its very obvious that she's a lot happier back home in LA now and I doubt if she'll leave there unless things go pear shaped. And Harry will stay...
The queen may hope they'll come back but I think by now she's probably giving up hope.. and even if they come back a few times a year, the house will be standing empty most of the time which isn't good for a house...
I think Harry and Eugenie were always close so this isn't surprising. It looks like Meghan and Harry arent coming back and have established themselves in California.
|I think that's been clear since March that California was where they really wanted to be, and that Canada was just a blind...
I dont know if its been confirmed that Jack and Eugenie are taking over the house, it would be better if they like the place and need a house for them to take it for a few years but if Harry sub let it, without talking to the queen first, Im sure she is not too pleased. I would say that the queen wouldn't want to make changes in the arrangement till the years review of Harrys situation is up.
Just a reminder to keep to the topic of the Brooksbanks moving to Frogmore Cottage. Please keep the discussion regarding the Sussexes' future visits to the UK in their forum. Thank you.
Re official confirmation of the news of the Brooksbanks at Frogmore Cottage-- The news that Eugenie and Jack have moved into Frogmore Cottage appeared in practically every news outlet in the UK, and many around the world, in the past week. I think if the British and overseas media was broadcasting that I was living somewhere I wasn't then I'd be informing them differently very sharply, especially if I had an IG/Twitter account as Eugenie does.
There won't be an official announcement about the Brooksbanks' move to the Cottage from BP, as the spokesman there has already pointed out, when asked days ago, that any arrangements regarding FC are a private matter. And the Queen and Charles certainly don't want to stir the wasp's nest of the use of FC any more after the firestorm of months ago when the Sussexes' left.

It's actually a brilliant move, as Eugenie will now live very close to her parents and in a lovely home. TBH, I didn't think Meghan and Harry were that keen on FC. Remember, they asked for Frogmore House (what cheek imo). If the Queen said "no" (which we are told she did) and offered them Frogmore Cottage instead, how could they refuse without sounding ungrateful? It isn't a very grand building, for sure, and so close to one of the drives at Windsor. They can stay with Eugenie if and when they visit, unless they choose to stay in a hotel or maybe even in Clarence House (which Charles and Camilla would love!).

I cant help feeling that while Charles would be happy to see his son and granchild again, there's still tension in the family and perhaps its best if they stay at an hotel.
I think if Eug and Jack have moved in, it will seep out in due course even if there's no official announcement..
but if they have IMO it means that Harry's not expected back in the UK any time soon, if at all...
Would St. James Palace have apartments available for the family to use in the short term? I know that Charles, William and Harry used to live there in the 1990's before Charles took over Clarence House. Beatrice and Eugenie were living there until the Brooksbanks married in 2018. Anne and the Wessexes were using it while BP was undergoing restoration when they needed to stay over in London. It might be an alternative that would give the Sussexes a central London location.
I don't think they'll be around long enough to need an apartment. Unless they come back properly, it will be short visits to do the odd charity engagement or see family....The fact that they may have given up Frogmore shows what way the winds blowing

I've never read (and I kept a sharp eye on it at the time) that Harry and Meghan asked for Frogmore House as their residence. It's huge and would take a fortune in maintenance as well as being a well known venue for parties, receptions etc for royals and others and has been for years.
Reputedly they did ask the Queen if it would be possible to have a fulltime flat at Windsor Castle. That was a tabloid story so God knows if that was true. At any rate they were knocked back. I too don't think the couple particularly liked FC. It's an ugly, rather poky house and cost a fortune to renovate. However the Queen offered and they accepted, or, as you've said, they probably felt they had to accept.
They didn't want the Gloucesters old place at KP as I think they preferred a place with a large garden, away from central London, especially when they knew they were expecting a child. I really think their ideal location for a home was Oxfordshire. Harry and Meghan were both happy in the rented Cotswolds property they rented early in their marriage, but it wasn't a longterm proposition as it was too far for London engagements, and with a baby little Nott Cott was out except as an overnight pad.
I don't know about St James Palace. AFAIK, others besides royals can rent apartments there. There probably isn't anything available.

Two large flats went up for rent in St James Palace in 2015 and were snapped up by wealthy members of the public. It made news at the time but there have probably been other flats rented out since.
Live like Royalty as The Queen puts two flats in palace up for rent ? The Sun (https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/1353690/live-like-royalty-as-the-queen-puts-two-flats-in-palace-up-for-rent/)
I believe the couple knew about FC. According to the planning records of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, the conversion of 5 apartments to 1 dwelling is dated April 2018, 1 month previous to marriage date. From there on, there has been 7 planning applications, the No 7 being the Sussex's last one, a retrospective on the external landscaping.
Before April 2018, the 1st application for the Sussex's, the borough has recorded 2009 fixtures to the 5 apartments, from 2009 to 2018 nothing.
Apparently Eugenie and Jack have moved back to Ivy Cottage, Kensington Palace.
I wonder if Ivy Cottage was having some repair/renovation work done and they were just staying at FC temporarily?

I wonder if Ivy Cottage was having some repair/renovation work done and they were just staying at FC temporarily?
I can't see it.. As far as I know Ivy cottage is an OK place and why would they take on a house like Frog Cottage when they could stay with the Yorks?
That is indeed a possibility TLLK, (burst pipes, always a hazard in cold weather perhaps) and as Ivy Cottage has three bedrooms, there is enough room for a baby and possibly nanny for the time being. I do think they will have to move eventually though if the family expands.
So all that talk on talk shows, all that print (and speculation) expanded on Harry and Meghan not coming back to FC, handing over keys, sharing when they come to England, being thrown out of the home by the Queen, accompanied by general satisfaction from various Royal Reporters, commentators etc, was in the end it seems, without any factual basis at all.
Unlikley that there were burst pipes.. the weather's not that cold. and if there were, why not stay at a hotel in London, nearby to keep an eye on things or go to Royal Lodge which is E's famly home? why move into a cousin's empty house which probalby had to be prepared as it hasn't been lived in for ages...
Well, perhaps the whole tale of-- Eugenie and Jack have moved into Frogmore Cottage to stay after the Sussexes moved their furniture out in the dead of night' was a load of old horse manure to begin with, concocted by the Sun! A tabloid making things up about the Sussexes!! Heaven forfend!!!
Usually, a fast move out leaser that had just moved in but hasn't reached a 3 month mark is the occupant didn't like it for whatever reason. The sources seem to be Windsor workers who broke the news of packing it all and adios. Meghan was said to be very lonely in Frogmore Cottage.
I gather both Jack and Eugenie are city dwellers and like to go to the country during weekends. They moved out, and E was photographed walking out of KP gates straight to the shops. She wouldn't be able to walk out of Windsor crown estate straight to the shops, a motor vehicle is required.
My experience, moving from country to country every 5 years, is to visit several times the site before signing any contract; I visit 3-4 times, a Saturday, a Sunday, a weekday...it is very important, one discovers many things that may not be acceptable to each individual that may have nothing to do with the structure itself. In Windsor, everyone has said the crown estate itself is very secluded attached by small town living.
well what is the evidence that Eugenie and Jack did move ijn some weeks ago and lived there for a month or so? Workmen helping with the move? I find it hard to believe that a tabloid would make up this story without some basis in fact even if it was just that Eug and jack had visited the house. If the papers want to attack the Sussexes there are plenty of other things they can have a go about, and making up a story that H's cousins had moved in and were going to live there, seems a bit of a reach of the imagination to me.
The Royal reporters sources of Sussex moving their furniture assets, and Omid confirming that the move was done with the emphasis of the crown estate had nothing to do with it, making it sound like if Harry and Meghan are owners of FC, and that the Sussex any time they come to the UK would be sharing the abode.
Previous to that the FC and gardens went through a maintenance, Jack and Eugenie moved in. Now, reports that they packed up their own belongings and went back to Ivy Cottage, KP, followed by a couple of days later E was papped shopping (I saw the pics, big bags and back through the KP gates). Allegedly workers at Windsor crown estate as the sources said that FC is empty again.
But what is the evidence that Jack and Eug lived in FC for a few weeks? Did workmen who helped with the move drop hints? Were the Brookbanks seen in the area?
Omid Scobie, he is the unofficial Sussex communications person, he is the ''Sussex Friendly version'' of whatever Harry and Meghan ''news', so he said the Jack and Eugenie DID move in, now perhaps this coming week, he will say/confirm they moved out, with the amiable narration.
The Sun and other tabloids make up plenty of stuff every week about the Sussexes, much of which is proven to be untrue days or even hours later.
As for the Brooksbanks, Jack may be an urban creature but Eugenie has lived in or near Windsor Great Park for most of her life. She could never walk out of the doors of Royal Lodge, her parents' home and immediately go shopping either. Her grandmother lives much of her time at Windsor Castle now, but Eugenie has visited the Castle thousands of times.
Frogmore Cottage is a mere six minutes away from the Castle but you can't walk out of Windsor Castle and immediately experience cafes and shopping from there either. Please don't tell me that Eugenie knew nothing of the location when she and Jack moved into the Cottage, because, as I've pointed out, that is obviously not the case.
Either she and Jack have moved back to Ivy Cottage temporarily because she is further along in her pregnancy than anyone has suspected (perhaps a birth in early January) and she doesn't want to be far away from her chosen London hospital, or alternatively, the couple have no more liking for the secluded surroundings and poky ugliness of FC than her cousin and his wife did.
Personally, I always thought the place was better left as staff quarters and Harry and Meghan could have had somewhere leased for them in the Cotswolds, which is where the couple wanted to be in the first place. We will have to wait and see if Eugenie and Jack like FC any better in the New Year, otherwise it looks as if it will remain empty. And if it is, so be it.
Yes the tabloids, and Yes about Omid Scobie...confirming or denying, he is on top of the game via Social Media, in this particular case he confirmed the DID of both couples, now waiting for his version about why J&E left.
Oh well if Omid said it, I presume he has some source that confirms it. But Im puzzled as to what his motives were, he usually portrays them in a favourable light.. Unless its meant to signify that Harry kindly lent the house to his cousin for a few weeks.. but it seems odd to me that they'd prefer to move into Harry's house than stay in London if they were only moving out of their own place for a few weeks, for repairs or the like. Why go all the way to Windsor, stay in a house that's been unoccupied for months, and not be all that close to the house your are going back to...? It really doesn't make any sense. But Its also hard to see the sense in Eug and Jack having moved in meaning it to be permanent. If that was the case why would they have walked out after a month?

that seems pretty ridiculous.. that Eugenie would move in and then decide that she had to go back to London to have her baby and slog back to London for another couple of months. And even more ridiculous that she and Jack would take the house and then decide that they "couldn't stand the poky ugliness" - talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth...
That is for each to decide, I follow Omid, any news he breaks about the Sussex's, confirms a true or false about royal tabloids is in my view the unofficial words directly from Harry and Meghan.
Having said that, I do not see it as a negative for the Sussex's to have moved out, leased their UK home to J&E, Omid Scobie had confirmed it via his twitter 1 month ago. Newbies that move in usually have trial and errors AFTER moving in, I certainly wasn't an ''ace'' in moving in every 5 year in the beginning of my transfer/expat status career. One aces it with experience. There is a no other option but this home/apartment/flat versus J&E family options, being her grandmother the Queen. In my corporate experience when there is no other option but, one can look for the loopholes in contracts to seek the place one wants as long as the price is equal (my trick), but J&E DO have options as in 1% of the world population.
Also, I'm with
@Curryong with whatever guessing games about J&E moving back to Ivy Cottage. All the supositions are valid point of view towards 1. Frogmore Cottage 2. Jack alcohol and Eugenie art businesses, usually city dwellers, move and shake with the crowd with or without covid10 it's a MUST with that type of business 3. the pregnancy
I think its pretty ridiculous if J and Eug moved in with the intention of staying.. that they were so put off by the place that they walked out in a month. Talk about spoiled..
If they want to live there permanently, but want to stay in London till she has her baby, why not move soon after the birth? have the place prepared while she's having the baby and go there from the hospital rather than moving for a few weeks and then trailing back to London for another month or 2. It seems a lot of strain on a pregnant woman.
It is spoiled, and then they can
Hello,
Does anyone know why Eugenie anyone her husband moved out of Frogmore after 6 weeks? I wonder what happened?
So many theories as mentioned in the thread since the news broke.
The latest is Prince Charles ordered, who knows, he's taken over almost all Queen matters.
If it was a private arrangement between the 2 couples and Harry didn't inform the queen, possibly the queen or Charlesa are not happy with the idea until Harry is past the time of his review and they pressed Eug and J to leave... But I cant imagien Charles thinks that Harry's going to come back to the UK... so why not let the house go to someone who wants to make use of it, and will pay rent and keep it up.
There is no private arrangement with crown estate or the British Monarchy, think of it like any corporation, company with rules.
Hence the theory, which I must add, the second part of your comment, it's a bit too late, but if Charles corrected the situation, it is never too late to correct any situation in life, corporate or individual.
The Charles theory
The working royals of the Firm really need to analyse every situation with their teams (the 3 households) before doing something, hence if the Sussex's did this arrangement of crown property without the Queen's knowledge, Charles intervened. Crown property decisions have to be unanimous from its Board/Monarch. Source: Crown estate corporation management
As I said before, I find all theories plausible, just giving a feedback to each one.
Short explanation: If any royal CAN make decisions whereas previously working in such a manner, a NEW precedent is in order for the rest to do the same. All monarchists understand this. Matter of fact, all corporations as I stated have policies, procedures, rules, usually when someone breaks it, if the affectation is bad for the rest, the breaker gets fired.

Same with the PDF of crown estates in the UK and any other lands the state own in other countries. What's the list, it's huge.
well I'm guessing that Harry and Meg just came to a private arrangement.. but if they did, I dont see why the queen and Charles (while probably not pleased about it) didn't regularise it. I dont think they can believe that H is going to come back.. so if Jack and Eugenie would like to use the house, why not regularize the situation and let them do so? If it was regularised, and J and E were now the official tenants, it seems odd that they would get fed up with the place in a few weeks and leave... and it seems unlikely that they'd be keeping up Ivy cottage.
And if Harry just lent the house to J and E for a few weeks, again that seems odd, as if they were say getting work done on their place in KP, youd think that they'd want to stay nearby and keep an eye on it. Why move all the way to Windsor?
If Charles intervened, I think it would be at least 2 reasons: the one I described below, put it this way rogue royals doing whatever they want, if allowed then the rest of the royals certainly will feel they can also do it and 2. the lower ranked royals to date have accepted whatever the sovereign ''gifts'' them. So public perception of Jack and Eugenie moving, taking into account whatever and whoever reporter version with or without the Sovereign's knowledge with property that doesn't belong to them but the state, at the end it's not theirs to dispose with, what's the public perception?!.
I honestly and personally think that FC will be empty for a long time or forever. It's lost money investment (from Harry, as he paid).
It's all theory and speculation at the moment as to why Eugenie and Jack left FC. I agree it's odd that the couple left after only six weeks but hey, they are young, unencumbered (at the moment) and it may be as simple as a heavily pregnant young woman panicking a bit that she is not in London and near her hospital of choice. Visions perhaps of having her baby in the car as Jack speeds up the highway from Windsor!
Because Jack's father has been so ill lately perhaps they have chosen to have Xmas at the Brooksbanks home in London rather than Royal Lodge, and Beatrice apparently still lives in London nearby. For myself I'd prefer to wait and see what eventuates after the couple's baby is born (which may well be early January) and then see where they elect to live rather than go into speculation about Charles, HM etc laying down the law about the Brooksbanks' occupancy of FC. We don't know what their views are about such matters are at all as they haven't told us, so as I've said, it's all media and Twittet gossip at the moment.
So many reasons would make sense, but we may never know. I just think it's amazing that she was able to keep secret about her pregnancy for so long and happy that we don't have to wait so long for their baby to arrive. They all must be so excited!

Pregnant Princess Eugenie has moved out of Frogmore Cottage and in with her parents Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew, a royal correspondent has claimed.
Finding Freedom author Omid Scobie said Eugenie, 30, and her husband Jack Brooksbank, 34, moved into the Royal Lodge in Windsor before Christmas after spending just six weeks at Harry and Meghan's former home.
In the latest episode of Scobie's podcast The HeirPod, ABC News London correspondent Maggie Rulli, said: 'We saw something in the news a few weeks ago about how Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank had moved into Frogmore Cottage.
IMO, they only spent Christmas with her parents, they are/will be back at Kensington Palace, Ivy Cottage.
@wannable-I agree as I can't see them moving from place to place with the baby coming soon.

Basically most of the Sussex's fans believe whatever Omid reports. So, here we are with this new report from him with the explanation of leaving Frogmore to Royal Lodge.
@TLLK I agree, can't see the couple moving frequently. I just think they didn't like FC, and are spending Christmas holidays at her parents, and will be back at their own base, Ivy Cottage.
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have 'moved back in with Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson' | Daily Mail Online (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-9133845/Princess-Eugenie-Jack-Brooksbank-moved-Prince-Andrew-Sarah-Ferguson.html)
Who knows what is really true or not.
I will assume it was true that they moved into FC.
A massive newly , expensive, renovated huge, private home. It is private in the sense solicitors cannot march up to the front and private as in it is not up for sale listed via a realtor that anyone can move in.
The place is left to fall into ruin. Anyplace not lived in falls into decay. The Sussex have been gone a year and almost a year and a half. They are never returning there. Last Jan., they stayed somewhere. A floor of suites for staff with a penthouse hotel room? Something.
It would have been sense for Eug n hubby to pay SG, market rent, whatever to whoever to wherever to make it their private , family home.
Of course, Eug would have had to have FC undergo a massive renovation to her liking. Common sense. Who wants to buy/ rent a place with another women?s color scheme, decor, configuration of rooms, etc.
Eug and Bea, the misnamed HRHs, have and will use their HRH. As HRH, they want royal palaces residences .
FC would have been great for an exorbitant fee.
Perhaps the girls want free like AndySarah.
If she is living with her father who has her mother living with him, ehhhhh.....weird.
To each their own.
Being rich, newly married, why not live so like adults in their own private home.
How about really private in a home/ mansion not on BRF grounds.
Ex. KendingtonKensington area. Some country home. Some grand London address.
Andrew should, could buy his daughters their own very private homes.
Ex. Like Pippa?s home. She is an ordinary citizen in an ordinary home. .Every inch of it is for her n hubby and she renovated as she wished.
The good will of the people. Charles said he would downsize the Monarchy and BRF. Pity TheQ is not, will not, my opinion, give Charles more power. I really think, in spite of her address 70 something years ago, maybe she should abdicate.
If not, Charles with the Q while she is alive needs to trim BRF. Ex. Sarah is to live at Royal Lodge fir the rest if her life. If Andrew dies, in is on paper, Sarah stays.
Why not Andrew just buy her an independent home? Then it would not royal on royal grounds and either of them wants that.
Royal places like KP apts, FC, etc. should be leased out to billionaires and the poorer multimillionaires ( a few hundred million).
I would imagine that Harry and Meghan stayed at Nott Cott, located at KP, last Jan and last March, then Harry by himself to fulfil the last engagements.
I doubt very very much that Eugenie and Jack will be moving in on a permanent basis at Royal Lodge after their baby is born. This latest manoevre (if true) appears to me to be the somewhat panicky decision of a young woman in late pregnancy who, while her husband is away at work during the day, doesn't want to be caught alone.
FC is somewhat remote though only six minutes away from the Castle, which doesn't have a lot of staff present when the Queen isn't in occupation. Eugenie probably wants staff and her father and/or mother nearby in case something happens and she has to be rushed into hospital to have her baby. I'd imagine that she is almost certainly booked into a nearby hospital just in case.
FC is on the Crown Estate and can't be sold off. Flats at St James Palace (in the Palace itself) are in the same position. Fort Belvedere is a good example. Once Edward VIIIs beloved home, it was left vacant but after a year he was informed that his lease had been fore shortened and was no longer his, leaving him extremely angry. During the war it was used as offices for a Govt dept. It was then left empty.
Galen Weston and his wife (he's a Canadian-born retail multi-millionaire) now have Fort Belvedere on a long lease. They've been there for over twenty years. For some time before that, the house was occupied by Gerald Lascelles and his wife Angela but they divorced. The Fort is still a crown property however. The Crown owns the freehold.
We shall have to see what happens after Eugenie's baby is born. I imagine that for the first few weeks, like Kate, she and Jack and the baby will reside, with nanny, at Royal Lodge. God knows, it's capacious enough.
Then we shall see. The Fail knows no more than the rest of us. I wouldn't be surprised if the Brooksbanks move back into FC, or they may decide that the location is not convenient for London and their work. If they decide that then both sides of the family might have to help with a small townhouse in a location that suits.
I wouldn't think a commute from Windsor to London the optimum situation. If Eugenie wants to continue to work, she will face the same dilemma many new parents face in managing child care, a commute, and family life. And doesn't Jack work in London also?

Suggestions for boys: Phillip is always in the running but I suspect that the DoE has made it clear that he doesn't want it used otherwise I believe that at least one of his grandsons or great-grandsons would have had it. Andrew might make it in for a middle name.
Suggestions for girls: There might be a nod to one of Queen Victoria's daughters or granddaughters: Alice, Louise, Helena.
I think Eugenie and Jack are likely to be a bit more traditional than Zara and Mike but not by much. Their baby's name is probably going to be one of those vaguely trendy upperclass names that nobody compiling these lists has thought of. Sebastian, or something.
However, Andrew, Sarah, Beatrice are more likely than not to appear as a middle name for the baby because the Yorks are so very close. Could be a name from Jack's side that nobody's thought of.
I am thinking something like Zachary.. I like that name. any idea when the baby's due
I believe that it is due in February.
I'd forgotten that Baby Brooksbank will mean a downward shift in the line of succession for the EoW, PR and everyone else who follows behind them in the line. Later Baby Tindall will create another shift.
Birth of two Royal babies will change line of succession this year ? here?s how it will look - Daily Star (https://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/latest-news/birth-two-royal-babies-change-23394307?podsave=)
QuoteTwo royal babies are due to be born in 2021 thanks to Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall, which means the line of succession will shift.
Both royals will give birth this year, with Princess Eugenie expecting her first child with husband Jack Brooksbank in February, and Zara and her husband Mike preparing to welcome their third baby in the spring.
The births will mean a change of Royal status for Princess Anne, Prince Edward, Zara Tindall and Zara's children.
Princess Eugenie, 30, is 10th in line to the throne and her first child will bump down other Royals - including Princess Anne who is currently 14th, and her daughter Zara, and Prince Edward who is currently 11th.
Here's the new places for the members:
QuotePrincess Eugenie's child will be 11th in line to the throne, Princess Anne will move to 15th in line to the throne, Zara to 19th place and Mia and Lena to 20th and 21st in line.
Prince Edward will move from 11th to 12th place and when Zara's royal baby arrives they are expected to be 22nd in line to the throne.
Not mentioned but the Wessex children will move to 13th and 14th and the Phillips will be 16th, 17th, and 18th. Then everyone after Baby Tindall: Gloucesters, Kents etc...take another shift down.

Aww... :vday2:
August is looking very healthy and strong! It's a great picture of Sarah (and Eugenie), though I always shudder at that weird suit she was wearing. I suppose it was in the height of style?
As a product of the 80?s, I regret to inform you that, yes, that was the height of fashion.
Along with fried hair, ozone depleting usage of hairspray, questionable makeup application and really, really big glasses.

Oh yes that would have been the height of style in 1990. Big shoulder pads, color blocking she had it all going on that day. :Jen:
Shoulder pads. Peplums. Leg warmers. Masses of fake bead necklaces. The 80s/early 90s were something to behold.
I really was a fashion rebel. Never permed my hair, refused to use hairspray, ripped out any and all shoulder pads. Only wore occasional mascara and lip gloss.
Was addicted to large gaudy earrings however. And desperately wanted my hair to be cut in the asymmetric , sculpted look. Not a good idea if one has thick, frizzy, curly hair. Oh, well.

Yes, one photo. And as I said in my previous post 9/10 of the other later photos Eugenie and Jack have posted of their dear little boy have NOT shown his whole face. Plus, Archie was shown to the cameras at Windsor, wearing a hat like August when he was only a few days old as well, and his face was shown. So your point is....?
There are more than 4 photos of a front face baby. Just contributing to a correction.

And so there were of Archie as a baby. Including several taken with his parents at his christening. Eugenie, like the one of Harry?s hand with Archie, has posted photos of her baby?s finger, of his part-face, of his back, of laying in daffodils with his face away from the camera, of his being over her shoulder in photo taken from the rear, of him in Jack?s arms in a part back view, etc.
I?m not criticising them for it. Eugenie and Jack and Harry and Meghan are the parents of these babies and should be able to post photos of them posed how they wish. However, when neither couple has posted a load of traditional front face photos of their little ones and yet only one couple gets constantly blasted for doing so then in my view it shows unfairness and bias.

Small correction but there are 3 photos (all from the same photo shoot) that show August's face in full.
So far we have:
-3 photos taken by the midwife after his birth: we see his face
-mother's day one photo of him laying in flowers, his face away from camera
-Eugenie's birthday two photos: one we see his back as he is in his mother's arms, and second we see one eye as he pokes over dad's shoulder
-Jack's birthday: back of the baby in Jack's arms, baby from the side in a carrier but all we can see is part of an eye and the nose
There is also the very distant photo at Easter where you can barely make out any of them under the tree.
And that is Eugenie's choice. She is a private citizen. Just like Zara and Peter she has no obligation to share any photos. But all non-working royals should be held to the same standards.
As I said, each to its own. :pillowfight:

Sorry that the couple has had to cancel at the last minute.
It's a nightmare.
Ping thing is a lottery of one may get C19 positive by being a close contact.
How is that a nightmare? its a good thing that people get a warning that they were near someone with Covid and they can take precautions to see if they have it and get over it without passing it on...
I had edited to add in previous comment, but here it is.
ETA: Has anyone been a pinged close contact? I have twice January and early June...I'm vaccinated but it's not a 100% guarantee I'm never going to get it, because of the variants. It's choices of attending or not gatherings. The early June gathering 2 got infected out of the more than a dozen attendees. I had to test or isolate 10 days, since I'm vaccinated, I decided to isolate 10 days. I'm fine. But my 2 friends, one lives with other family members in one household; they all got sick.
Nightmare = choices. Experience of deciding go or not go. One receives an invitation to a gathering, before the date/time gathering one goes out to other gatherings, putting in danger the really and truly intended most important gather. That is something me and others have discussed in re to Jan and June scare.

It may have been one of the grandparents or godparents who was unable to attend. If it was just some random guest they likely would go on.
I can understand Eugenie wanting her closest family like the queen there.
I feel bad it had to be rescheduled. I hope it can be done soon.
If one of the godparents could not attend, is it possible to choose a different godparent?
It was probably a godparent who was positive. Grandparents would have been vaccinated, whoever they came into contact with, at their age, though there are always precautions of course. It?s a blow to everyone who wanted to attend and to Eugenie and Jack. August must be nearly six months old now. However, there?s always next month or the month after.

If the story is true about the christening being cancelled, it has to be someone important to the couple who tested positive. I don't see them having cancelled for just any gues

While the Brooksbanks have not stated anything about August's christening being cancelled via the press or social media, I could believe that the story is true. The Delta variant is causing COVID cases to rise again.
Where do you think Master August's christening will occur?
I believe that it will be at the Royal Chapel of All Saints which is close to Royal Lodge (Andrew's home.) Beatrice and Eduardo married there in 2020.
Jack is on the Island of Capri. Jack is without Princess Eugenie.

Jack looks like he?s having fun, though what business it is of the Daily Fail God only knows.
Princess Eugenie's husband Jack Brooksbank charters boat with three glamorous female pals (https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/15745766/princess-eugenie-husband-yacht-female-pals/)
Poor Eugenie
Why ?poor?? These women are quite well known. Jack?s probably known them for years, as Eugenie may do too. He?s having a photo taken with one of them not kissing and cuddling or having an orgy. These tabloids always seek people out, take the opportunity to take photos at a questionable angle and then write an article hinting at something untoward happening. For all we know Eugenie might be holidaying on the island with him, and be quite OK with it all.
I wouldn't be caught dead...we different.
Eugenie doesn't strike me as the jealous type. No doubt she completely trusts Jack.
Was The Daily Mail the very first tabloid to report on this story of Jack?
This doesn't look good! I wonder how he will explain this away. He sure looks like he's having fun.
where IS Eugenie? Is he having a private break?
@Amabel2 - This is a work related trip.
QuoteThe 35-year-old is spending the weekend on the chic Mediterranean island of Capri, attending a star-studded charity ball under the stars while his wife remains in Windsor looking after their five-month-old son, August.
Mr Brooksbank is a brand ambassador for Casamigos tequila, a sponsor of last night's invitation-only Unicef Summer Gala, where tickets are priced from ?8,000 to ?25,000.
And ahead of the bash, he spent Friday afternoon aboard the classic 26ft 'gozzo' boat, exploring the caves and grottos dotted around Capri's coast.
There were rumours that in fact Eugenie and Jack were together on Capri for a short while days before this party took place. This is a work trip for Jack. On the boat he was chatting with the Captain, reading a book and went for a swim as well as posed for a couple of photos. I just don?t believe Eugenie would worry about any of it. He?s been a brand ambassador for quite a while and she knows what goes at these things.
I find it queasy work related or not, him with the 3 women, touchy feely with one, another one with no bra care free. The local news CapriStar has all the details. Princess Eugenie is not in the island.
I really think this is much a do about nothing. Eugenie trusts Jack and Jack trusts Eugenie.
There's really nothing more to say.
Perhaps?!, I'm taking these pictures in a very personal what if it was me kind of way. I feel very uncomfortable with the touchy freely and the other braless woman. I don't believe in open relationships or close to it by having touchy freely with other people. That's me. Reverse the situation to me with 3 men, one with his thingy out, same situation, let's be clear with equality here and now. My other half wouldn't like it at all. But then I do have one friend who practices open relationships small or up to second base. He and the wife are in the surface okay with it. I have never dared to ask them any questions, what info they have spoken about what they do, I still call it BS. :pillowfight:
I certainly don?t think that Jack and Eugenie are in any kind of open marriage. And as far as I know nobody has stated that anybody?s genitals were being shown on the boat. And as for bare breasts you surely know that in some parts of Europe bare breasts are more common on European holiday beaches and islands than bikini tops, and nobody blinks an eyelid about it.
Those tabloids published the story and photos of Jack on the boat for one reason and one reason only as always, and that was to cause controversy and get people talking, creating clickbait for themselves. And in that, unfortunately, they seem to have succeeded.
I clearly stated that I take those pictures in a very personal manner. Yes I know people and nude beaches are half or full nude. I don't attend nor closed areas like a boat with it. All my friends minus the one I mentioned are conservative.
Jack is handsome. The Daily Mail sees him and concludes: "We will get a story!" They take pictures of him shirtless and the public has a story.
People are obsessed with making drama where there is none.
A brand ambassador attended a major gala event sponsored by the brand who employs him. I may die of shock.
If you tell me next he might drink some tequiila he sells I seriously will have a heart attack from too much shock.
The woman he is 'cozy' with in one photo works for the brand. He had his arm around her for a photo. Nothing news worthy.
I highly doubt Eugenie's marriage is so weak that her husband being around other women will cause it to be in trouble.
We all love taking and seeing photos, but sometimes they don't tell the whole story and lead to the wrong conclusion. Spreading this picture was a cruel thing to do.
He should be much more careful. There's a huge difference in attending a gala, drinking tequila during the gala, meeting and greeting, exchanging pleasantries in a ''controlled environment'' to sell his wares.
Versus hiring a boat to take 3 models for a fun day after the private and exclusive bash.
He's a public figure, so he (and Eugenie) have two options; be much more careful whilst retaining a usually 'lads' job, be the boss and hire a lad (surely he knows plenty of lads, Jack was the Manager of the famous club Mahiki, London). :happy15: note: if one reviews manager positions of nightclubs, clubs, exclusive clubs which was his previous job, 100 % are single, divorced, playboys, party boys. Famous alcohol companies, i.e. Diageo = linkedyn will tell you plenty. :shake:
Jack is not 'a public figure'. He and his wife are private citizens and can and do live their life as they choose.
He does not own the tequilla business. He can't simply hire 'a boy' to do his job for him. Thats what he was hired to do.
Many married men work in the bar business. If you are too threatened by a husband having female friends, you are too immature to marry.
He wasn't hiring a boat to party with models. The women work for the company and are friends of the couple for years. You make it sound like he was off partying with random women.
If he's not a public figure, the CapriStar invaded his privacy with pictures and a story.
Those are Casa Amigos hired models. They are not his friends.
Quote from: wannable on August 03, 2021, 08:14:25 PM

Is it safe to conclude that
The Daily Mail also invaded Jack's privacy?
Was it
The CapriStar which
first showed the photos of shirtless Jack?
Guy Pelly was the best known of such club managers (he managed several of them, including Mahiki) and also a friend of William and Harry for decades. He?s married to his first wife Lizzie and has been for many years, so working in such nightclubs (which Pelly did since his teens) doesn?t automatically produce ?lads? at all.
At least one of those models, the one Jack had his arm around, is known to him and probably his wife. And if Jack and Eugenie are happy with his being a brand ambassador then no-one has any business saying otherwise is my opinion.
Nobody should be made to change their profession or life to adhere to other people?s idea of what they should be doing (so long as it is legal.) And that is especially true of strangers who know nothing of Jack and Eugenie?s private life.
Or clearly of the women they are slandering to try and make Jack look like some kind of playboy :ugh:
Honestly enough with the pearl clutching over his job. But to portray these women as 'semi nude models' hired to hang all over Jack???
Rachel Zalis left modeling year ago. Has been Global Director for the tequilla brand for over 5 years. So yeah she works closely with Jack.
The woman in the 'skimpy' bathing suit aka a normal one piece bathing suit only skimpy by 1920's standards, is Maria Buccellati. Maria is the Global director (and a fashion designer herself) for Faith Connexion since 2010. And FYI despite how young she looks, she has at least one kid closer to Jack in age then she is.
The third woman is the only one who currently models, though she is also a stylist. She runs a succesful shoe business with her husband.
Its the 21st century we should be above shaming women so that we can play the 'playboy wrongs his wife' card.
They ''all'' decided to take a boat ride. Did they know the paparazzi were there? The italian tabloids are the worst. (One can't link what they printed)
Model friend and colleague of Jack?s apologises for any embarrassment to Eugenie by going topless. She says Jack chatted about his wife and baby on the boat. Her bikini top ?was wet? and so she took it off.
Model speaks after topless snaps with Princess Eugenie?s husband (https://au.lifestyle.yahoo.com/model-breaks-silence-over-topless-snaps-with-princess-eugenies-husband-jack-brooksbank-235807858.html)
Perhaps now SM will pipe down about possible affaires and adultery and terrible nakedness and disgraceful behaviour and marriages ending, etc etc etc. And the tabloids will hopefully shut up about the boat cruise as well. I?ve never experienced such pearl clutching over a group of friends on a boat in my life!
It got worse comments. The taking off her bikini top.

Like usual the DM has no evidence of such a change. Pure editorial speculation. Simply trying to make another spin off their trashy boat story.
We're not talking a family business like Party Piece, that gets passed to children. We're talking a Chartered Accounting firm with Partners. Jack is not an accountant. He doesn't even have a degree. Hardly going to be taking over as a Partner in an accounting firm.
More believable would be Thomas stepping in for his father, as he works as a financial background though he is a broker.
I agree. It?s all trashy speculation by this rag. IF Jack for some reason is appointed as a board member or director of the firm that wouldn?t mean that he will be playing any active part in it. Some directors of City firms in London do little besides turn up for board meetings and perhaps make an occasional suggestion.
It's a good attempt PR image
No its really not. Nor is it needed, as Jack is a private citizen and has no need to play a PR game of any kind.
If he did suddenly become a director for his father's company it would simply be a title and a vote once in a while maybe as Curryong says.
The headlines if this was actually to be true would be all about how Jack got handed a job. How the kid with no college education was now a director for an accounting business. None of the talk would help his image now.
If he actually wanted to try and 'clean up his image' he would find something in his own career field. Him going into business with someone on his own restaurant would be more believable to the public. And easier to sell as actual career choice and not trying to cover a scanal.
He would never be happy working as director for an accounting firm.He has always talked about being in hospitality in some way.
Why does he need to clean up his image?

George Edward Hugh Brooksbank, who has died aged 72, was a scion of the Brooksbank landed gentry family, of Healaugh, Tadcaster, and father-in-law of Princess Eugenie.
He died just days before the christening at Windsor of his grandson, August, son of Princess Eugenie and his son, Jack, who was born in February.

He suffered from Covid earlier this year didn?t he? Wonder whether there were complications from long-Covid? No wonder poor Jack looked terribly serious at the Christening. His family must be devastated and poor August who will grow up minus one granddad. ,
My condolences to the Brooksbank family and I agree that Jack did look very sad in the arrival photos.

Princess Eugenie and her family are set to start a new chapter in Portugal.
Eugenie?s husband, Jack Brooksbank, has a new job that will take the family to Portugal. He will now work with Mike Meldman, a property tycoon ? a business partner of George Clooney.
It is understood that Eugenie, Jack and their one-year-old son, August, will split their time between Portugal and the UK.
They will reportedly live near Lisbon at a golf and ocean club. The family lives in Frogmore Cottage (which is leased to Eugenie?s cousin, the Duke of Sussex) on the Windsor Estate while in the UK.
Brooksbank has previously worked as a brand ambassador for Clooney?s tequila company, Casamigos.
A source told the Telegraph, ?Jack is now working for Mike Meldrum, and they are splitting their time between Portugal and London. It?s a very exciting time for them.?
The family will return to the UK this week to mark The Queen?s Platinum Jubilee.
Princess Eugenie has lived outside the UK before. Previously, she lived in New York City while working at the online auction house, Paddle8.

There was some surprise and speculation as to why Eugenie and Beatrice suddenly left their mother at the Queen?s funeral at WA and got some fresh air. It may well have been that one of them or both were overcome with grief and heartache to do with their grandmother?s death and the overwhelming occasion. But it could also be due to another reason, which I believe might be announced in the next month or so.
@Curryong-I hadn't realized that the sisters had left the service for a little while. I having a feeling that the latter one might be the reason. IMHO that would be the one to explain a hasty departure from an event like their grandmother's funeral.

Well, it?s a posdibility isn?t it? It might have been the occasion itself of course as well. Someone said elsewhere that Eugenie was slumped a bit beforehand (don?t know how they saw that) but both sisters were seen waiting for cars with other members of the family after the service ended so it wasn?t a medical emergency, I think.
I saw a ''very elderly usher'' with possible dementia walking in signaling several pews, in the long video several people (including Beatrice and Eugenie) were leaving. I couldn't possibly say what this group of people were up to.

That could well be, Blue Clover. On the other hand, perhaps one one or both just wanted some fresh heir (I mean air.) Stuffy in WA.

The phrase "a bun in the oven" means to be pregnant or expecting a baby. We don't know if that's the case we are only speculating.
Thank You!
I know what the expression means, but it seems an odd thing to say. IF people are speculating that one of the princesses is pregnant why not just say that.
It would be wonderful if it is a pregnancy, but there could be other reasons she left the Abbey that day. There is a recent photo of her in which she looks very energetic and feeling just fine. Also, if anyone is expecting I'd guess it to be Gabriella, as she fainted at one of the events.

Right, a million unknown reasons could have caused her to leave the Abbey that day.
Hardly that many reasons, either she felt ill, and needed some air or felt faint and needed some air.
She could have received a text from Nanny about her son and needed to go outside to phone. She could have needed to use the restroom suddenly. Anyway, she seems fine and happy.

:xmas16: :xmas16: :xmas16: :xmas16: :xmas16: :xmas16: :xmas16: :xmas16:
It?s what men?s (and women?s) woollen tops are called in the UK (and in Australia and NZ) though the US sweater is sometimes used.
Below is an explanation from World-wide Words. I?d say jumper is derived from Old French. I can remember jumpers being called ?pullovers? in England when I was a child but that description has completely disappeared.
From Helen Schupp: I?m curious about different meanings of the word jumper as an article of clothing. In the US, this refers to a type of dress with a pinafore-style top worn with a blouse or shirt; when my Australian daughter-in-law uses it, she means what I, an American English speaker, call a sweater or a sweatshirt.
A The British usage also describes a sweater or pullover, that is, a knitted garment with long sleeves for the upper part of the body, though my impression is that pullover is rather old-fashioned, with sweater now much more common. Jumper seems to have appeared about the middle of the nineteenth century, originally for what the Oxford English Dictionary describes as ?A kind of loose outer jacket or shirt reaching to the hips?, in other words what I would call a fisherman?s smock. The origin has nothing to do with the verb to jump, but comes from the dialect jump or jup, meaning a man?s short coat or a woman?s under-bodice or tunic. This may derive in turn from the French juppe, a petticoat (now in modern French, jupe, ?skirt?), which ultimately derived from the Arabic jubba, a loose outer garment.
The word has evolved differently in Britain and the US; British usage has moved towards a garment that is specifically woollen, the US towards any upper-body garment for women. The OED refers to a catalogue of 1908 which talks about a loose-fitting blouse worn over a skirt, from which Americans later derived jumper suit for a jumper and skirt combination; I?ve found a plate in a Sears, Roebuck catalogue of 1916 that uses jumper frock to describe a pinafore dress worn over a blouse or shirt, which seems to be the original term, later shortened to jumper.
@Curryong, Thank you for the description of
the jumper.

For the time being. The game of musical houses isn?t over yet, and the Brooksbanks may well be moving abroad for a time anyway. Paying the full rent per month for FC would cost a pretty penny.
Frogmore gets passed around in the family. If the Brooksbanks are moving aboard leaves a vacancy, maybe Andrew is moving there next. Indeed, more housing in the Royal portfolio where families can be dispatched when needed exists. Why the focus on Frogmore?

Is this accurate? I dont think there is any solid informaton on who is getting FC if anyone, when the Sussexes officially leave
^Was this confirmed by BP or is it just tabloid gossip? Not sure what to believe, don't Jack and Eugenie have a place in Portugal as that is where Jack's job is?
I think before or just right after the Coronation, many things will be clear. I'm starting to get the picture of how Charles operates directly and indirectly.
what has Charles to do with anything? I think its unlikely that Eugenie would want the Cottage - htough she may stay there for a while to have her new baby. but the odds are that she and Jack will be away quite a bit.
They need a pied a terre when they are in the UK. I read that they do split their time between Portugal and GB, and now Jack may be taking a position in the USA, or so it is rumored. However, she may simply be staying there while she is awaiting the birth of her baby.
They could stay with Andrew, probalby, if they need a place to stay for brief periods. I dont really think they will take FC unless things change ad they are settled in the UK again.
They don't just visit the UK. Eugenie has a job at an art gallery in the UK. They split their time between the UK and Portugal.
It would be one thing to stay with dad if they just visited for a few days every few months or so. But living with him 1/2 the year or so doesn't make sense either.
so where DO they stay when they are home presumably for a few months at a time? Seems odd to me. And RL is a large house, plenty of room for a family to come and stay for a few months if needed. Its really rather large for a non working non earning royal like Andrew, so if he wants to keep it, he would probably be wise to have Eugenie to stay, at least he could claim that he needed the larger place. IF Andrew is relying on money from his brother, which he may be, I think that Charles will offer him a smaller place and pay back the money that Andrew put into the house.

What a sweet baby :flower3: Congratulations to the family especially the parents and the proud big brother :hearts:
Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank:
Ernest: According to Eugenie it is in honor his three times great-grandfather George. George V was George Frederick Ernest Albert. Similar to August who they honored Prince Albert by using a middle name.
George: no shock for Jack's late father
Ronnie: for Fergie's dad.
George and Ronnie were to be expected (well I thought Ronald) but nice surprise with Ernest.
Cute side note August and Ernest are named for brothers in a way. George V as was common back then was named for his godfathers. His middle name Ernest came from his godfather Ernest II, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, the older brother of Prince Albert.

Princess Eugenie's unusual name for baby son explained with tribute to her mum Fergie - Mirror Online (https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/royals/princess-eugenies-unusual-name-baby-30159934)
Two little boys! Welcome, little Ernest George Ronnie, and many congratulations to his parents!. In a week in which we?ve seen two other little brothers in arms together in Luxembourg this is extra special! Andrew and Fergie had two girls but, with Wolfie, there are now three grandsons! I picked that it would be a boy. And I don?t think any onlookers picked Ernest as a name. Perhaps Ernie sounds nice with Augie!
Ernest is also the name of Duke Ernest I of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. He was the father of Prince Albert and Duke Ernest II of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.

Yes he was. He was also a libertine, like his elder son. I don?t know that Prince Albert was that fond of his father, though he was certainly close to his brother until he married. Later on he became very disapproving of Ernest?s morals.
I think Fergie?s liking for the Hanoverians and Queen Victoria and her family, which showed by the naming of Beatrice and Eugenie (after the Empress) has certainly seeped down to Eugenie if not Bea. Both the Brooksbank boys have names carefully chosen to honour each side of the family.
Ernest doesn?t seem to be popular among royal watchers as far as I can see. It?s not a name that has come back into vogue in the past decade like Archie, Arthur or Leo. However, that?s a parental choice. Their baby! I guessed it would be another boy, taking after Jack?s family!
Congratulations on the birth of little Ernest!

I think this is what it was about, being caught coming out of social events and leapt on by Press photographers.
