What does Tessy think about the break off of Prince Louis and Scarlett?

Prince Louis of Luxembourg recently talked about his struggles with dyslexia. Another royal with this frustrating condition! European royal families appear to be riddled with it, and various members have spoken about their experiences. King Carl Gustav suffered throughout his youth with it. I wonder whether there?s a genetic component. Is it possible that a Saxe Coburg ancestor had it and passed it on? It?s quite mysterious really.

@Curryong-Yes it is a mysterious genetic tendency that is typically seen in males, but as we know females (CPss Victoria, Pss Beatrice) can have it as well. Fortunately there is a better understanding of this learning disability than there was when KCG was a youth. His children were able to receive therapies and specialized reading instruction to help them.

I definitely agree that the Saxe-Coburgs seem to have a tendency towards it. Prince Emmanuel of Belgium is also dyslexic like Prince Louis and they share a family kinship. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that there's more than one dyslexic in the other families that are related by marriage to the Saxe-Coburgs.

That?s right, TLLK. The Danes don?t seem to have had any dyslexics as far as we know, but King Olav and his daughter Astrid had a form of dyslexia. King CG seems to have been the worst sufferer, though. I wonder whether his parents or any of his sisters had it, and which ancestor was responsible.

That?s sad for the Princess?s many loved ones. However a full and rich life lived, I?m sure. What things people who live nearly a century see and experience!

New details reported on staff mistreatment in Luxembourg?s Grand Ducal Family ? Royal Central

QuoteMore details have emerged after reports of staff mistreatment by Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg.

At the end of December, it was revealed the Grand Duchess had been involved in a verbal altercation with a staff member.

RTL reported that the newspaper L?tzebuerger Land published a report on the situation in 2022.

The altercation occurred at the end of October when the Grand Duchess was trying on clothes for a photo shoot for her daughter, Princess Alexandra?s wedding. More staff was called in as the staff on hand became overwhelmed.

A few days later, Maria Teresa called the Court Marshall and her assistants regarding the clothing situation. She lectured them for ?poor organisation,? and concerned staff were not defended against the accusations. Two weeks later, Prime Minister Xavier Bettel went to the Grand Ducal Palace to discuss the incident with Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa.

Reportedly, the Prime Minister gave an ultimatum at the meeting and is said to be monitoring the situation ?very closely.? The report on the government?s investigation is due next month.

According to d?L?tzebuerger Land? and RTL, the employee involved was transferred away from the Grand Ducal Family to another department.

It is understood that the employee requested the transfer.

However, it did lead to an investigation by the government, led by the Secretary General of the Council of Government, Jacques Files.

It is indeed wonderful news. Wonder what prompted it as the younger child is about seven isn?t he and the daughter is nearly ten. Both parents are in their late thirties now as well. Still, children keep you young!
