Prince Harry to Give Powerful Tribute to Nation's Wounded Heroes

Prince Harry will pay a powerful tribute to the nation's wounded heroes at the Mirror's Pride of Britain Awards tonight.

Harry is appearing at Pride of Britain for the first time and will tell of his delight that the 103 members of the British Armed Forces Team at the Invictus Games have won a Special Recognition award at the event, now in its 16th year.

The team captured the hearts of the nation as they took on competitors from 12 other countries in a number of different sports last month. Many of them suffered terrible injuries while on tours of Iraq and Afghanistan.

Prince Harry will tell the audience: "The Invictus games shone a spotlight on the incomparable character of servicemen and women and their families. Their stories move, inspire and humble me.
