Why would there be an official announcement from the Palace ref the baby name? Eugenie will more than likely announce it on her IG if she wants to or Fergie might blurt it out on Twitter. The Brooksbanks are private citizens and it's entirely up to them how they release info.
I have nothing whatever against Eugenie and Jack. They seem a nice couple. I'm just amused at the difference between how they have been practically cooed at :wub: by tabloids and people on SM at their child's birth and what the Sussexes were practically crucified for during baby Archie's birth. Part photos of baby and parent hands, anyone! Demand for photos on leaving hospital not mentioned, hmmmm!
And in another twenty five years if Charlotte and Louis behave at their first babies' births as the Sussexes and Brooksbank did at theirs, what are the older tabloid journalists going to say then? The picture was taken at Ivy Cottage (Kensington Palace), hence the background ivy wall. The couple only shortlived FC.
I thought Fergie lived near FC, same grounds of the Royal Lodge.

I like the fact that Queen Victoria's husband's full name was stated: Francis Albert Augustus Charles Emmanuel.
How many people know that Prince Albert's first name is Francis?
Actually it was Franz, but nevertheless....
I do think that August is an unusual name for an English baby and not one that any of his future schoolmates will probably have. When I first read it I thought of the French Auguste. However, I'm sure I will grow used to it as I did with Archie and all Anne's grandchildren's names.
