King Charles could miss out on Commonwealth Day Service, Maundy Thursday and Easter engagements - after he's advised to postpone his public-facing
King Charles will missed Commonwealth day service,Maundy Thursday and Easter due his cancer treatment

Maundy Thursday is very likely to be missed as the handing over of Maundy money involves close interaction with the elderly recipients. Not so sure about the Commonwealth Day service as he will just be seated with his wife and his close relatives for that. It?s important though that Charles avoids possible infections from others and also is feeling well enough to attend. Some cancer treatments leave patients feeling drained and exhausted.

Unfortunate news today. Wishing Charles well and a speedy recovery.

Yes, indeed.  The treatments could cause nausea, or fatigue, or compromise Charles' immune system.  Hopefully, it won't be that bad for him, but most important is just for him to rest and be careful.  I pray that his cancer was caught early and that he will have a full recovery.

I have a dad and a brother in law both battling cancer, my father for six years, being careful is so important. Even with just his family. The kids bring germs with them which can be a serious risk when on certain treatments. Its not simply a matter of infection but for Charles also pure stress. An official event like the Commowealth ceremony, with all the pomp of it, might not be the best idea for him.

Certainly my prayers with Charles. But also his family. Most especially Camilla. People focus a lot on the patient and sometimes forget the spouse by their side.

^ Yes for Camillia deeply loves Charles and always has, and while Charles recently was in the hospital she took on duties all by herself which shows her loyalty to the family and the country.

I pray deeply for Charles and hope for a quick recovery and for him to finally take it easy and slow down a bit.  He is a very intelligent man who is highly underestimated and Camillia has been a strong source for him all his life, this is a cruel blow to their last years together and I pray for a very quick and healing recovery for both of them as emotionally it is a tough time for them now.
