QuoteToday, Prince Charles is set to gain an experience of Scottish art and rural life during a visit to Caithness, one of the northernmost parts of Great Britain.

The Duke of Rothesay, as Charles is known in Scotland, will pay a visit to the North Highland College Land-Based Centre for Game Keeping and Veterinary Nursing in Halkirk, before going to the nearby Thurso High School. At the school, which is just a few miles south of the northernmost point of the mainland, His Royal Highness will view an exhibition by the Society of Caithness Artists.

The Duke has been carrying out a number of engagements in the past week. On a visit to Glendelvine Estate in Perthshire, he was presented with a giant hand-made red squirrel, as a gift for grandson George on the occasion of his first birthday. On Friday, he visited Morton Young and Borland, a textile firm in Glasgow, where, upon his arrival, he was presented with a bunch of posies by admirers.
