The Duke of York pledged to help local businesses tap into national success during a visit to the University of Hull. Prince Andrew visited the university's Enterprise Centre as part of a tour of East Yorkshire yesterday.

He met with For Entrepreneurs Only (FEO), a group representing Hull businesses, and told them they should not feel isolated from the rest of the country.

David Kilburn, chief executive of MKM Building Supplies and co-founder of FEO, said: "We were delighted when the Duke of York expressed an interest in meeting us. There has never been a more critical need for inspirational, positive and energetic entrepreneurs to work together to inspire and support the start-up and growth of private sector enterprise."
