A men's clothing factory in Salford enjoyed a royal appointment with Princess Anne.

Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal visited Private White VC in Lower Broughton in her role as president of the UK Fashion and Textile Association.

The Queen's daughter enjoyed a tour of the historic factory, founded by war hero Jack White who was awarded the Victoria Cross for bravery in 1917, the highest and most prestigious honour which can be bestowed on British and Commonwealth forces. She also opened Private White's new factory shop.
