The first major highlights that I can recall would all have been televised here in the U.S. and most of them had to do with weddings and funerals.
1. Nov. 14, 1973-The wedding of Princess Anne and Capt. Mark Phillips.
2. June 1977 Silver Jubilee Celebrations.
3. 1979 Death and funeral of Lord Mountbatten
4. July 29, 1981 Wedding of the Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer

After that I was a devoted royal watcher.

My sister and I will be lucky enough to go to another of these lunches this year to celebrate some incredible people. I am also delighted to hear that the Jubilee pageant will include volunteers and key workers who have worked tirelessly over the past few years.

I?m agreed with that im born in 1981 and im devoted royal watcher since late Diana,Princess of Wales for 25 years i know Princess Diana?s biographer and her situation with the paparazzi when Princess Diana got engaged to Prince Charles in February 1981 and wedding at St. Paul cathedral when I was two months old my mom watch Princess Diana?s wedding on television in 1981

I wrote my list in a hurry. There were hundreds of moments I could have written down, including when the Queen and PP visited the holiday resort where I lived as a child and the crowds around (and me) went absolutely wild. Whether it was the sunshine, being on holiday or what, the enthusiasm of the people, that day was in fact commented on afterwards by the royals. Of course it was a very different time.

I think we can all agree though that the Jubilees and the family weddings, especially that of Diana and Charles, contained some magic. I think that millions around the world can vividly remember that wedding and of course Diana?s funeral, which also deeply impacted on the Queen and RF.

According to the Sun (so who knows whether it?s true) the Sussexes were met on arrival at the airport in England by RPOs and transported in two black bulletproof cars to Windsor. They?ll be staying at Frogmore but as Lily?s first birthday is coming up the Sussex family may well be spending some time with the Queen in the castle itself.

I've read that HM will come out onto the balcony accompanied by the DoK to take the salute when the procession returns to Buckingham Palace and then afterwards would be the appearance with the senior working royals, the Cambridge and Wessex children and Timothy Laurence.

So I'm guessing that the senior royals that the Sussexes will join in the Major General's Office are those who traveled via carriage-Camilla, Catherine, Wessexes, Gloucesters? Perhaps the York sisters who typically accompanied their father in his carriage? The PoW, DoCam and PssR would be down on the parade grounds as Charles takes the salute.

Yes from what I have read the family traveled on a private jet from Los Angeles to the UK at RAF Farnborough Airport in Hampshire. They then were picked up by HM's Land Rover and taken to Frogmore Cottage.

I also and yet sad this is very near the end of her time as there will be no other like her again. Just hope that some remember their place in this and don't make an attempt to destroy what should be a marvelous time for HM. I am sure that Charles and William will do their job to make her proud of what will continue for later years. I wonder that William seemed to me very sad in some pictures as he is probably thinking the same.
