Lomonosov Porcelain is the first and the most famous Russian porcelain manufacturer.       
It was Tsar Peter I who wanted Russia to produce its own porcelain.     
In 1744 his daughter Empress Elizabeth established the first porcelain factory in St. Petersburg.       
It produced wares exclusively for the ruling Romanov family and the Russian Imperial Court.
