I bet Leonor is proud of herself today, and she should be. She really put her shoulder to the wheel and studied I?m sure, but also I hope, enjoyed her time in Wales. I suppose she will be returning to some more study at a Spanish university, next time. Anyway, her family all look very excited and proud. Well done, Princess of Asturias!

TLLK

I believe that Leonor is headed to the military academy next and then university in the future.  Her path is similar to her father's.

Wow! I'd forgotten that they had a May wedding in 2004 and are celebrating their 19th wedding anniversary.  :hearts:

The biggie anniversary for Felipe and Letizia will be next year, I guess. Quite a few royals have had April/May weddings. I suppose because it doesn?t disrupt the tourist season that follows too much and anything earlier is much too cold in the northern hemisphere, though other generation did marry in the winter, the late Queen and PP for instance.

Happy Wedding Anniversary to King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia!

This is indeed a significant milestone for the Princess. It?s one that will be remembered by herself, the RF and the nation for the rest of their lives. I presume it?s being televised?

An imposing and very important occasion in the life of the Princess of Asturias. To be making a speech in front of dignitaries and representatives at her age must be absolutely nerve racking but I?m sure she?ll do beautifully. Good luck to her. There aren?t very many many working members of the SRF at all apart from her parents and grandmother so it will be a lifetime of royal duties after her tertiary education.

Gert?s Royal Twitter says

No European royals are invite I can?t blame king Felipe and Queen Letizia

TLLK

No this type of ceremony tends to be just for the Spanish government. Even her paternal grandmother Queen Sofia will not be present at the actual oath swearing. However the family members will be present for a gathering later.

Preparations for tomorrow's big day.

I believe Queen Sofia was present in the audience at King Felipe?s swearing-in, however.
