Prayers for Prince Friso in Church of Lech

The parish church of St Nicolas in the Austrian ski resort Lech will dedicate its Sunday afternoon Mass to Prince Friso, second son of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands. Members of the Dutch family, who have begun to arrive for their annual skiing holiday, are not expected to attend the service.

Sunday February 17 marks the first anniversary of the skiing accident of Prince Friso. Last year while skiing off piste near Lech he was hit by an avalanche and buried under the snow for 20 minutes. The prince, who was on the last day of his skiing holiday with his family, remained without oxygen for some 50 minutes, doctors in the University Hospital in nearby Innsbruck later said in a press conference.

Windsor I so agree with you. My prayers are not only for Friso but his mother, wife and children who have had so much anguish and uncertainty this past year as to his recovery.
