Eugenie, Her Royal Hoodiness, joins the smoking crowd

Quote
She has been spotted in a lapdancing club and once streaked across her school playing field.
Now Princess Eugenie has been caught pursuing another activity which might make her grandmother frown.
The youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, was pictured puffing on a cigarette as she wandered around Sydney yesterday, accompanied by her Scotland Yard bodyguard.
Eugenie, who celebrated her 19th birthday last week, is on a gap-year holiday in Australia with friends after achieving two As and a B in her A-levels (making her the brainiest member of the Royal Family, incidentally).
She returns in the autumn to study history of art at university.
Despite some unseasonably atrocious weather, the young royal - who has already enjoyed trips to China and India in recent months - spent the morning wandering around Sydney's historic Rocks district dressed in a hoodie.
According to onlookers she frequently pulled a packet of cigarettes out of her bag and lit one up. 'She wasn't chain smoking but she is clearly more than just a social smoker,' said one.
At one point, the rain was so bad the group took refuge in a cafe prompting Eugenie, who is sixth in line to the throne, to spark up again.

If she's the smartest royal why is she smoking if she's smart she'll stop it's not like we don't know what it does to your body its a terrible thing to do to your body, especially if she's been smoking since she was 16/17!! She should know better  :gaah: :uhhuh:

Fabulous Fake

She has certainly used her 'gap year' (and that's a joke if ever there was one  :fuming:) just as productively as her sister did before her.

What a waste. It would be sad if it wasn't so bloody annoying. :madgirl:

Miss Scarlett

I think this is exactly what a gap year is for --seeing the world and enjoying yourself.

BUT I do wish she would understand what smoking does to someone's body (and not many young adults do...).  Perhaps she should look at her great aunt Margaret in her later years for an example?  It's addicting, and it does keep you skinny (no appetite), but the health risks are just far too great...

Perhaps her father will see this and put his foot down??

I have no sympathy for smokers. When William and Harry etc. get struck down with lung cancer and heart disease I think I'll laugh

no pics?

hmmm.. Yeah, gap years means seeing the world and enjoying life..to the fullest.., and while one is young.

tsk.., but even so, one must also know the benefits, and otherwise, of what she does, what she takes, etc.. and clearly, smoking is not a t all beneficial to one's health!
