Zara Philips Builds Up Holiday Home In Portugal
Zara Phillips, 28, daughter of Princess Anne and granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II of England, plans to build a holiday house in Torres Vedras, 40 kilometers north of Lisbon. Together with her boyfriend, rugby player Mike Tindall, 31, she has bought already a plot of land of a thousand square meters in 'The Vineyards', the name given to the second phase of Campo Real Golf Resort & Spa, an area of 75 hectares with project for 260 units of villas, apartments and townhouses. According to sources from the resort, Zara Philips wants to initiate the construction of the property during this semester. Certainly it will not be completed before the end of 2011 but may be one of the first to occupy the 'The Vineyards'. Also according to the same sources, the investment is estimated in 800 thousand euros to build up a two-storey house with, at bottom, a suite, a lounge, kitchen and an outdoor pool in the garden, and, above, plus one suite, another room and a panoramic terrace. The exterior finishes must look up to the proposal submitted by the promoters, namely, houses of modern architecture with large windows, while the interiors are decided by the owners. Zara Philips has not yet given any indication to details, such as security systems and home automation. In Campo Real live mainly Portuguese, Irish and English, and there is an Equestrian Center that certainly would motivated the choice of the location by the daughter of Princess Anne, who is a fervent supporter and even an international equestrian champion.
