The woman later allegedly saw Mr Adeshine acting in a similar way towards another woman, before security were alerted and police called.

He is said to have thrown his phone into the River Thames before entering the water himself.

But the court heard Mr Adeshine was arrested shortly after coming out of the river.

Deputy Chief Magistrate refused to grant Mr Adeshine bail, remanding him in custody ahead of his next appearance at Southwark Crown Court on 14 October.

Sadly I was anticipating a scenario like this one and it seems so were the police. The officers on duty had the suspect under arrest quickly, though understandably people are upset.

Yes police always kept eyes and nobody touch the HM Queen Elizabeth II?s coffin ever!! I am surprised it only happened this one time. When I saw how exposed, the coffin was to public viewers. It seemed very risky. Especially when the royals were standing at the vigil yesterday, you could see the public walking very close to the royals and the coffin. I am happy the event was controlled quickly.

The King, Queen Consort, Prince and Princess of Wales, Earl and Countess of Wessex and the Princess Royal are at Buckingham Palace hosting a luncheon for the Commonwealth Governors-General. Tomorrow a larger reception will be held for the incoming heads of state, various royals and other diplomats.
