Prinzregententorte is a multi-layered cake with chocolate butter cream named in honor of Prince Luitpold, Prince Regent of Bavaria. Luitpold was the Regent from 1886 to 1912.

@TLLK, Think of what Prince Regent Luitpold and the Bavarian Royal Family thought when Prinzregentorte first came out!
