Hope that the Wessex family enjoys their ski break. No doubt that we'll likely see some other members of Europe's royal families on the slopes in the coming weeks.

Lady Louise participated in a carriage driving competition this week. Like her brother and her cousin William's children, Lady Louise is enjoying the  term break.

Has there been any indication of which college or university Lady Louise might attend?

A look back at the year 2022 for the Earl and Countess of Wessex which saw a Jubilee tour and many overseas and domestic engagements for the couple.

YEAR IN REVIEW: The Wessexes?s quiet support continues in 2022 ? Royal Central

Quotehe Earl and Countess of Wessex continued to be stalwart supporters of The Queen throughout the majority of 2022 and performed equally in support of King Charles III by the year?s end.

Though their royal work doesn?t always make headlines or grace the front covers of newspapers, as it should, Edward and Sophie continued in tireless support of their causes, travelling the world and within the United Kingdom to champion the Royal Family.

An motorcycle outrider that was escorting the Duchess of Edinburgh hit an elderly woman at a busy crossing.

Sophie's agony as motorcycle escort cop smashes into OAP | Daily Mail Online

QuoteAn elderly woman has been taken to hospital in a critical condition after she was struck by a police motorbike escorting Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, in west London.

At around 3.21pm on Wednesday, the motorcycle collided with the woman near the junction of Cromwell Road and Warwick Road in Earl's Court.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance rushed to the scene and a woman, aged in her 80s, has been taken to hospital.

She remains there in a critical condition. Her family have been informed.

Buckingham Palace says the Duchess of Edinburgh's 'thoughts and prayers are with the injured lady and her family', adding she was grateful for the 'swift response' of emergency services. There are no reports of any other injuries.

This is the second time (William court circular a few years ago) an elderly is hit by the motorcade in a busy intersection and at a crossing. The numero uno motorcade member that is ahead of the group motorcade should stop pedestrian traffic (including cyclists) like they did last Friday for the BP reception. It's actually highly coordinated, the Motorcade M stops pedestrians at a crossing/light, the motorcade goes through, the Motorcade M then hits the accelerator passes the Motorcade Group to the next crossing/stoplight.

Yes, I watched live even that, one hour of departures leaving BP through the sidestreet of BP - pedestrians gasping when W left like last! I spent the weekend, Coronation weekend, my only outing was Saturday afternoon for a Linner - Linner in the suggested new word category as, a combination of lunch and dinner.

I hope Charles considers Lady Louise as the natural patron of the Windsor Horse Show

She's been the entire week/daily and truly passionate, natural fit!

Nightowl

I agree with you and hope it happens also yet she is still in college, would that fit into King Charles plan of a slim monarchy I wonder?

As Lady Louise is most unlikely to become a working royal I don?t think that?s likely. Imo if it gets a royal patron again and lots of events and charities won?t then it will probably be Princess Anne. Louise hasn?t got enough of a profile to become a patron of a prestigious horse show like the Windsor, and like I said, her own mother said that both her children are likely to have careers, ie be private citizens.

I hope that she is considered for the future, but for the time being I have to agree with @Curryong that it will likely pass to the Princess Royal. However I could see King William bestowing  a joint patronage to his cousins  Olympian Zara Tindall and carriage enthusiast Lady Louise Windsor. It wouldn't be a "royal" patronage, but as long as there's a Windsor family member as a patron, that would likely be acceptable.

It's just my wishful thinking, tied with the new times, tied with Princess Anne's interview, tied with young blood, tied with Willam and Kate as the future. She is not too young, both W&H had their first patronage about her age. I hope she's doing great at St. Andrew's University.

We've seen more of Louise and James at public events in the last 20 months and it's been enjoyable to see them to grow in confidence and maturity over that time period.
