King George VI and Queen Elizabeth of Great Britain visited Canada and the United States in May of 1939. While the King and Queen were on this tour, the red dispatch boxes were sent to Queen Mary.

^ And she dealt with them very competently, I'm sure! Mary apparently never had much confidence in herself, but she was a practical person, I think.
