Princess Anne today officially unveiled the helipad at Oxford Road Campus (ORC). She also visited maternity services at Saint Mary's Hospital, both part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT), in her role as Patron of the Royal College of Midwives (RCM).

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Royal College of Midwives, this morning visited Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust Maternity Services at Saint Mary's Hospital, Oxford Road, Manchester, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester (Sir Warren Smith).

Her Royal Highness today opened the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust elevated helipad at Manchester Royal Infirmary.

The Princess Royal this afternoon opened the Timpson University Building "the Nest" at Claverton Road, Roundthorn Industrial Estate, Wythenshawe, Manchester.

The Princess Royal this morning departed Royal Air Force Northolt for the Netherlands and was received upon arrival at Rotterdam the Hague Airport, Rotterdam, by Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands (Her Excellency Mrs Joanna Roper).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Mercy Ships International, later commissioned the Hospital Ship, Global Mercy, at Parkkade, Rotterdam.

The Princess Royal, President, the Mission to Seafarers Limited, this afternoon visited the Schiedam Flying Angel Centre at Admiraal Trompstraat One, Haven, Rotterdam.

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited The Royal Netherlands Marine Corps, Van Ghent Barracks, Toepad, Rotterdam.

The Princess Royal later arrived at Kemble Airport, Gloucestershire, from the Netherlands.

Mr Charles Davies was in attendance.

Royal visit for Grampian maternity unit from RCM Patron HRH The Princess Royal

Quotenverurie?s Community Maternity Unit (ICMU) was treated to a Royal visit at the weekend from the Royal College of Midwives (RCM) Patron, HRH The Princess Royal.

The Princess Royal toured the unit meeting midwives, healthcare support workers other maternity staff and families. Along the way she visited the Day Assessment Unit, the Scanning Room and one of the unit?s birth rooms. Accompanying her on the visit were the RCM?s President Rebeccah Davies and Director for Scotland Jaki Lambert, along with NHS Grampian Interim Chairman, Dr John Tomlinson and Deputy Chief Executive, Adam Coldwells.
