Reportedly an airplane with a number of family members is en route to Scotland. This might include the adult grandchildren.
Catherine has been photographed on the school pick up this afternoon, so she likely not part of that group. Sophie had an engagement at a school earlier today.

Were the Sussexes still in Germany or back in the UK? I understand that they're also headed to Scotland.

There were reports that Sarah had been seen at Venice airport but I hardly think she would be amongst these passengers. Beatrice perhaps, Louise, Eugenie if not in Portugal, the Phillips and Tindals. However it could be none of them.

Every time a new PM is appointed all the new Ministers have to be sworn in. That?s what was going to happen at the postponed Privy Council meeting. There?s nothing new or particularly unusual about that. It will be done after the Queen?s health is settled in one way or another.

And of course it doesn?t mean a constitutional crisis. All the new Ministers were in Parliament on the Front Benches today, having taken over their portfolios. The Privy Council swearings in will be done when it?s convenient to do it, with (considering the Queen?s state of health) Charles probably presiding.

I have to say that an official statement from BP accompanied by a statement that the Charles, Camilla, William and Catherine are on their way to Balmoral is concerning.

I a just heard that she has passed away. It was a live tv station and I have to believe it is true. I am so sorry for her family, her people in the UK and the Commonwealth, and all of us in the world.

OK have just seen the reports now! This is indeed a very surreal moment for the people of the world, especially for the UK and the Commonwealth. Seventy glorious years, into her seventy first. An extraordinary life! No monarch has ruled the UK for so long. And so it is now ?God Save The King!?

it has been announced by the BBC just now.  Does not say if the children and grandchildren were there in time to see her
