Quote from: PrincessOfPeace on May 21, 2024, 10:19:29 PMDaily Mail via The Telegraph: Prince Harry 'turned down a meeting with King Charles in London because it did not come with security provision' despite having an offer to stay at a royal residence - as the row over 'who was avoiding meeting whom' deepens

That headline is completely untrue, as is usual with the Fail. The main text talks about Harry reportedly/supposedly being offered accommodation at some royal residence (having given the full 29 days notice beforehand and staying at a hotel instead) not about him avoiding his father at all. I suppose the implication is, (although the DM doesn't say so) that IF Harry played ball and stayed at say St James Palace his father MIGHT have been able to spare him ten minutes or so at breakfast the next day, presumably with Camilla trailing along as well, at a so-called private meeting.

Whoopi do! A whole ten minutes or even, gasp, a half an hour, to speak to a son you haven't seen in months. As a parent of three and grandparent of four I find behaviour that sort of thing absolutely abhorrent, especially from the Governor of the Church of England.

It would be a wonderful surprise if King Charles attended the wedding.
It would be even more surprising if The Princess of Wales attended the wedding!

We have wait and see if Charles and Camilla will be there or NOT remember last time in 2004 due to Duke of Westminster's sister wedding and not invited Camilla on the list due to space seat of Tamara's wedding and also members of the royal family include late Queen Elizabeth,Duke of Edinburgh and Prince William and Prince Harry among guest list but not appropriate seat for that front of Tamara and Edward's wedding THEY NOW Duke of Westminster's wedding makes invited guests but King Charles is godfather of Duke of Westminster

And Catherine,Princess of Wales will not attend to his wedding due to her cancer treatment

Quote from: PrincessOfPeace on May 21, 2024, 09:06:41 PMSTV News: School pupils on a tiny Scottish island entertained the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh by singing in Gaelic in the first Royal visit to the Isle of Coll in 12 years.

I think it's wonderful that the children of Coll sang in Gaelic to the Edinburghs. More power to them and to their teachers, and to others all over the world who are striving to keep once common languages alive.
