Lady Louise Windsor is eleven years old today - time certainly does fly!

It was a very dramatic event when Lady Louise Windsor came into this world on November 8th 2003. The new royal baby, the first child of Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, wasn't expected until sometime in early December.

But on on November 8th, Sophie fell ill with blood loss and was rushed to the hospital where Lady Louise was delivered by emergency Caesarian section. The delivery took place at Frimley Park hospital in Surrey and luckily both mother and child recovered quickly. Earlier this year, the Countess of Wessex had an emotional experience, when she was back at the hospital.

Louise has a younger brother, James Viscount Severn, who is six years old.

Clearly the winner for the BRF's most dramatic entrance in recent decades. Let's hope that if there is another that it has a good outcome like Sophie and Louise had. Happy Birthday to Lady Louise!
