Obviously very much loved and appreciated by her husband . BTW, I notice that birthday greetings from RF address her with her title. Whether this is because she is an adult and not a child I wouldn't know, but it is significant that when the Public can see the greeting royal titles are used.

Yes, this is the third time today I've wished Meghan a Happy 39th birthday online, and I do so now.

It's a rotten time to be celebrating anything, we've just missed out here on gatherings for two family birthdays and a third one's coming up this month. Coronavirus has put paid to the lot. However, I hope Meghan has a nice quiet time with her husband and baby, with some lovely gifts.

@wannable-For Los Angeles Co. and 36 others counties in the state. Theoretically-Meghan could eat outdoors in a restaurant or do take out. She can get her haircut, colored etc..but only outdoors. She can hike, bike, and sit on the beach at a distance. Shopping at an outdoor center is okay with a mask.

She cannot take Archie to a park playground to sit in a swing. She cannot go to water parks,  Universal Studios, Disneyland, Knotts, Magic Mountain, Dodger/Angel stadium (baseball),  No visits to bars/clubs that don't sell food. She might be able to go to a socially distanced worship service if it is held outdoors. Some houses of worship require a reservation for a time.

Yes, she is a very beautiful woman.  Her facial bone structure, smile, skin and graceful appearance all add up to great photo after great photo. I would describe her look as classical beauty.
By the way, Happy Birthday to her. PS: I hope they will think of increasing their family soon!  Would love to see them have a second child, and perhaps the pregnancy and first year will be a bit more relaxed for her.

Meghan and Harry 'have not thought enough' about impact on Archie, says Storm Huntley
According to broadcaster Storm Huntley, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry haven't thought ?far enough ahead? on the impact of their explosive Oprah interview on their young son Archie

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry "have not thought far enough ahead" about the impact of their explosive Oprah interview on their son, according to Channel 5 broadcaster Storm Huntley.

She told Jeremy Vine that she had concerns over the impact of their mental health on son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor once he is older.

In particular, Storm was fretting about Meghan?s assertions that she was suicidal while pregnant.

She told Jeremy: "I do think talking is great and I do think it is great that [Prince Harry] is bringing attention to things like the feelings of [being] suicidal and the effects that has on somebody?s partner.

"The thing that I am quite worried about is Archie."

he continued: "Archie is just a baby and does not know what is going on. Archie will not be a baby forever, and he will go to school and people will tell him things about his mother.

"To find out that your mother was suicidal while pregnant, I think that is going to be quite hard. I do not think they have thought far enough forward of what this means for their children."

When the full Sussex family does return to the UK next, one thing likely on their agenda will be the Christening of Lilibet.

UK succession rules require those in line to ?be in communion? with the Church of England.

Why is there speculation about Lili being christened when August Brooksbank and Lucas Tindal, her second cousins haven?t been baptised yet? They were both born several months ago. Yes I know there?s still a pandemic all over England but Zara and Eugenie could have only a small gathering in a local church for their christenings. It would be nice if the Queen attended and I?m sure she will for both. She certainly did for Lena.

It?s a bit strange IMO however to be talking about the christening of a baby that isn?t even a month old yet while four months old and over babies related to her remain unbaptised.

Because it might be the last chance for the queen to see Lilibet.

Well, I doubt that the Queen has seen the other two much at all either, considering that HM is very careful to social distance and we don?t know whether Eugenie and Jack or Zara and Mike are fully vaccinated yet, so she?d hardly be dropping in on their households for tea.

She?s not alone. Zoom and other means of keeping in touch are being used all over the world between different generations in the middle of this pandemic, including the elderly and their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Unfortunately that?s just the way it is at the moment.

And even before this virus people of different generations in one family were often separated by great distances. My father in England didn?t see my children (his only grandchildren btw)  when they were babies either. And that was before Zoom, FB and IG and everything else, it was just photos and letters. Australia is a migrant country and that situation would have been replicated by the millions here. And still is.

The queen is in her mid 90s and Lily is living 5000 miles away.  Probably a visit to England in the next year is the last chance she may get to see the baby in person. I personally think that babies should be baptised reasonably soon and not wait for a  grand ceremony.. but if H and Meg do decide to have her christened in the UK that may be the only chance the queen has to see Lily.

Happy Birthday  to the Duke of Sussex! Prince Harry celebrates his 37th birthday today. The three official social media accounts for the BRF, Clarence House and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge all have messages to him today.

Queen leads birthday tributes to Prince Harry | Daily Mail Online (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-9992539/Queen-leads-birthday-tributes-Prince-Harry.html)

QuoteThe Queen has led birthday wishes to Prince Harry on his 37th birthday, sharing a selection of photos highlighting her grandson's charity efforts while he was a working royal.

The Duke of Sussex, who has quit royal duties and is currently living in an ?11m mansion in California also received birthday greetings from the Prince of Wales and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Poignantly, Prince Charles shared throwback photos with his younger son, amid a rift that Harry made public during his bombshell interview with Oprah.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton kept their message simple, posting a solo portrait of the Duke with the caption: 'Happy birthday Prince Harry,' and a red balloon emoji.

If Harry and Meghan decide to baptise their daughter at the California church it will mean that Lilibet will not be considered a 'member' of the Church of England automatically.

However the young royal could later join a Church of England congregation if she came to the UK.

Apparently Lilibet will be baptised in California rather than the UK.

Well, apparently she will. Good. The only people who were saying that the Sussexes wanted a Windsor royal christening for her was the British Press. Harry and Meghan, Lili?s actual parents, have never mentioned their daughter?s christening. Ever.

Incidentally, AFAIK, Lucas Tindall hasn?t been christened yet though he was born months before Lili. Ditto for August Brooksbank at the moment. And nothing?s been said about that, or future christening arrangements for Beatrice and Edo?s Sienna. Why not carry on about them, British tabloids. It couldn?t possibly be because such stories wouldn?t attract the clickbait? Or the delight in further bashing of the Sussexes by the British media? No of course not, lol!

The only reason I figured they wanted  a UK christening was for the 'royal faerie dust' but apparently they have different plans. For the best imo.

It was the British media who kept pushing that agenda, nobody else. And way back in August magazines like Hello were twittering about all the RF babies going to be christened ?soon?. Zara and Mike at least apparently aren?t rushing the arrangements. Lucas will be walking to the baptismal font at this rate. But no, no,  the only people who desperately want their baby christened are the Sussexes!

Isn't the royal family or those outside of the royal family  running out of time in 2021, less than 2 1/2 months for any christening of babies, right. I wonder if it is not on a member of the royal family's calendar now, it is not going to be there any time soon....

Social media buzz about Meghan's age.  How old is she really?

Partial document which Jason presented, and MM lawyers apologized.

Samantha is 57 years old, born November 24, 1964.  MM said she was 2 years old when Sammy left home at 15. So 57-13 (MM was 2 years old), Meghan is 44 years old. What do you guys think?

@wannable-IMHO Meghan is 40 years old and born in 1981. There would have been too many records of her birthdate/age (school, legal documents etc..) I believe that she simply was unclear as to how old her half-siblings were when Doria left her husband and just made a good guess.

That rubbish about Meghan being four years and older than her known age has been around on Tumblr and Twitter anti Meghan conspiracy sites for about four years.

She attended kinder, primary and secondary schools in California. Her schoolmates and teachers remember her. They include  friends? parents who photographed her playing with their children, her kinder classmates, when she was very small. One friend sold her out to the DM, and included photos of Meghan and herself when very young.

The famous photo of a teenage Meghan sitting on the rail in front of BP with the childhood friend she went to the UK with doesn?t show a girl four years older than her companion. Nor does the child Meghan talking about the dishwashing commercial show a girl four years older than her classmates.

She has friends today that she first met in college. Not one of them has ever hinted that she went to NW at 22 not 18. It is all absolutely ridiculous. Meghan made a guess at when Sam and Tom jnr left their father?s house when she was very small. Sam married very young after she left California and moved interstate. Meghan would have probably been very small, certainly not seven or eight years old.

Nobody who remembered her as a child, not her half siblings, not her father or mother, or family friends, have ever come out and said Meghan was born in 1977. Do you really think that Samantha, who hates Meghan?s guts, would have kept something like that quiet for four years!!!

The depth of Meghan's email rubbish to Jason is psychopathic,  anything to  destroy her own family. In her own writing she's 2 and her sister is 15... :sarcastic:

Doria left Thomas Markle when Meghan was two, taking her daughter with her. The two older half siblings lived with their mother, Thomas?s first wife, as children and then joined Thomas snr for some years when they were teens. By the time they were 20 both had left living fulltime with Markle snr and were in other States. Samantha wasn?t around Meghan when Meg was a schoolgirl. It was a very fractured family.

When the early childhood years are quite unsettled and family members leave it is extremely unlikely that dates and numbers are engraved in letters of steel in a person?s memory. It?s not Meghan?s fault that none of her father?s, half sister or half-brother?s relationships worked out or that they have all had multiple bust ups and divorces.

I don't know what she was thinking when writing a few statements in her email.  If she wasn't sure about dates, places, timeline, schooling, etc. a footnote annotation explaining to Jason of *I think *Maybe *allegedly for further investigation or this is me with creative writing despite a picture of her with Sam graduating?!

Her malice is exposed in that piece of email.  Her family could be Trailer T's, but why o why should she go down to HillyB.

I think the Chuck E Cheese birthday party is pure speculation by media outlets, actually. I?ve seen Celebs taking their kids there on occasions, and I thought it looked quite fun. But I?ll take your word for it, TLLK!

For the very young and very messy Macdonalds is still quite popular among families here. However, there are so many family friendly venues for birthdays etc that even kids have quite sophisticated tastes nowadays, especially if they have parents who enjoy dining out regularly. My youngest grandkids love a Thai restaurant nearby, for instance.

This report is from the Fail so to be taken with a bucket of salt, but?

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...e-Cottage.html

Harry and Meghan celebrated their daughter Lilibet's first birthday in Windsor yesterday with a 'relaxed' birthday party ?with royal second cousins invited to the festivities.
The couple held an informal garden party at Frogmore Cottage, on the royal estate, with a birthday cake, balloons, party games and picnic snacks, it is understood.
The little girl's birthday party was open to Zara and Mike Tindall's three children, Mia, eight, Lena, three, and Lucas, one, as well as Savannah, 11, and Isla, 10, daughters of Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly.
(Charlie Straubenzee (believed to be one of Archie?s godparents) was also there with his brother Tom.)

All they would need would be for someone to drop them off and pick them up at the end, not necessarily the parents. I wouldn?t be surprised if August Brooksbank was there actually (he?s already played with the Sussex children), and Charlie and Tom Straubenzee (who were also present according to the article) both have young children.

Great news about National Parks, Harry?s patronage in Africa.

Announcing the news on Twitter, African Parks penned: "Prince Harry's Patronage @AfricanParks along with @DNPWMalawi & ifawglobal have successfully translocated 263 elephants and 431 additional wildlife from Liwonde National Park to Kasungu National Park in Malawi."

And Good that Meghan received birthday wishes from her in-laws. She probably spent a quiet but happy birthday with Harry and her children in the sun at Montecito.

Lilibet was christened last Friday at home in California by the Archbishop of Los Angeles.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Daughter Princess Lilibet Christened (https://people.com/royals/meghan-markle-prince-harry-daughter-princess-lilibet-christened-california/)

PEOPLE exclusively confirms that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex held a christening for their 21-month-old daughter last Friday in a small and intimate ceremony at their home in Montecito, California.

When reached by PEOPLE, a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said: "I can confirm that Princess Lilibet Diana was christened on Friday, March 3 by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, the Rev John Taylor."

According to a source, Meghan, 41, and Harry, 38, extended an invite to King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton, but they were not in attendance.

After their grandfather became monarch following the death of Queen Elizabeth last September, Archie, 3, and Lilibet were afforded the titles of prince and princess under rules set out by King George V in 1917.

An insider tells PEOPLE there were between 20-30 guests at Friday's intimate gathering, including Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, Lilibet's godfather, Tyler Perry, and an unnamed godmother. Following the ceremony, attendees were treated to an afternoon of food and dancing ? with Archie enjoying a dance with his little sister!

Princess Lilibet was christened on Friday, March 3 by the bishop of Los Angeles, the Rev John Taylor.

(He was mistakenly referred to as Archbishop by Sussex press team)

Rev John Taylor is a member of the US's Episcopal Church. It is part of the Anglican Communion which the Church of England is also apart of.

The presiding Bishop of the US's Episcopal Church is Rev Michael Curry, who spoke at the Sussexes wedding.

Congratz Lili! When they said he flew in and wore a suite, I had a feeling. He also brought a gospel choir!

I can appreciate that they sent an invite and I'm sure both sides knew that no one was really coming.

Now, someone needs to release the photo!

:flower3:  Congratulations to Lilibet and her family on this milestone in her life.  :flower3: Considering that she's nearly two years old, I doubt that she wore the BRF's christening gown as I don't believe that it would fit. The second gown was modeled on the first one and that one was definitely made for infants. Traditionally a white garment is all that is required, so I presume that Lilibet just wore a white dress. I was hoping that the family would consider releasing a photo with the article, but for now it doesn't seem like we'll receive one.

I wonder if she was christened at home or at one of the nearby Episcopal churches?  Here's a list of the local ones.

According to People magazine, who broke the news the ceremony was at the family home.

PEOPLE exclusively confirms that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex held a christening for their 21-month-old daughter last Friday in a small and intimate ceremony at their home in Montecito, California. End quote

I?d love to see a photo or two. Perhaps they?ll release a couple later, hope so!

@Curryong-Thank you. I wasn't sure what the guidelines/rules were for christenings in the Episcopal/Anglican church so I thought there might be a chance that they opted for one of the nearby churches.

Harry and Meghan-Please release a family photo from that day!!!

She?s a very cute baby. Interesting development. Nothing surprising, but still very contradictory to utilize a title for an institution when you say you don?t want an institution but a regular family.

I wonder if Charles? office sent over a gift or acknowledgment even if he (quite understandably) chose not to attend.

I would certainly expect so, but since they chose to tell everyone that the RF was invited, I did wonder if he actually didn?t sent anything or if it was purposefully omitted.

I am glad that this happened though. Now we can see that nobody was denying them the right to use prince or princess (not even sure if that?s possible), it was only ever a matter of whether they wanted to style them that way. BP will now be changing the website per the Sussexes wish.

As Harry and Meghan said about the way they titled their children.....*It is their birthright* so maybe Harry can finally accept that he was born 2nd and William was first as it is his birthright to be the heir and king someday......Now will Harry/Meghan walk back on what they said .....time will tell!   Jealousy does not become anyone!

It's not the children's fault that their parents are wacko.  They will be reading and hearing from school friends though about their parents shenanigans.

On another note, I'm glad 2 Spencer relatives travelled to Montecito.

"Marie Claire has reported that Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale, the older sisters of the late Princess Diana, were among the guests at the christening."

Generally royal children are christened somewhere around 3 to 6 months.  Eugenie was nearly 9 months because of her father being in the Navy..  Lili is walking for goodness sake. If they waited much longer she'd be at school

Los Angeles bishop baptizes Princess Lilibet, daughter of Prince Harry and Meghan ? Episcopal News Service (https://www.episcopalnewsservice.org/2023/03/08/los-angeles-bishop-baptizes-princess-lilibet-daughter-of-prince-harry-and-meghan-markle/)

Bishop Curry had been slated to oversee the christening but came down with COVID and asked Bishop Taylor to oversee it.

Yes I'd read that he'd been requested to bestow this sacrament, but understandably had to excuse himself. Fortunately Bishop Taylor was available to come to Montecito that day. Now apparently christenings do not traditionally occur during Lent, but the diocese seems to have been happy to make this exception.

I thought the same about Bishop Curry. It said this was his second bout as well. It's good he had someone he trusted enough to take over for him.

Any clergy person could do the baptism  IN fact any Christian can baptise

I'm not surprised that he'd ask his delegate in Los Angeles as Santa Barbara Co. is one of the five and half counties in the diocese. Sorry that this is Bishop Curry's second bout, but hopefully his symptoms were mild.

Yes, but isn't that situation of any Christian performing the sacrament typically for emergencies?

Yes of course, but there is harldy any need to wait 2 years almost to baptise a child and look for a bishop to do it.

As far as the baptismal, using the Bishop of Los Angeles seems over the top. No local vicar for these two.

Agree, But I suppose it was necessary to emphasise that the child was a PRINCESS, and could only be baptised by a senior cleric

Bishop Curry was the man who preached at their wedding, so there was a connection for someone who had a personal relationship with them. Not due to Lili being a PRINCESS but it was the man who had them wed. They were now in America and could have someone who was with them on important day, perform this important act.

Bishop Curry -the man who wed them- then came down with covid and said "hey, this is a person I trust, I'll ask them to go in my stead."

Actually, no. It wasn't about emphasizing she was PRINCESS, unless Bishop Curry personally called you up and told you that, then I'd be incorrect.

It's nothing to be snide about or imply that they're saying only a Bishop was good enough for PRINCESS Lilibet.

There isn't anything over the top about asking the man who married you to do also perform this act. It wasn't the Sussex's who pivoted and asked another Bishop, it was the man himself.

So no, no local vicar for these two because the person who was slated to do the job, who had a real connection to them.... the asked someone HE trusted with it.

But yes, Bishop Curry's choice is somehow the fault of Harry and Meghan and means that they're uppity and look down on local vicar's. Yes,

I didnt know that they had any connexion with Bishop Curry.  I thouth that they just had to find an Episcopalian American  bishop for the service.  Have they perhaps been attending his church, over the past 3 years?  He certainly didnt perform the marriage service.

The Archbishop of Canterbury married the Sussexes. However Bishop Curry gave the (long) sermon at their wedding and was prominent during the service. I remember it well.

yes we know that he gave a loong and incoherent sermon at the wedding.  And my understanding was that they needed to have an American at the service so he was found.  News to me that they have any connextion with him other than that service years ago.

Are other royals always round at the Archbishop of Canterbury?s house for lunch, inviting him to tea and so on in spite of him presiding at their weddings and christenings? Do most people who marry in church have a close personal longterm relationship with the cleric who marries them, in Protestant churches? Not in my experience!

Bishop Curry told People magazine that he supported Meghan?s advocacy of voting at elections when she was urging citizens to get out and vote in the last Presidential election.

He?s also a supporter of Meghan?s recent advocacy for voting, telling the outlet: ?We need help. We need healing. She does that. She's lifting up women and we need somebody to lift up women, lift up people. Lift up people of all colours. The truth is, a rising tide raises all ships."

. It was very much coherent for a lot of people. It might've been slightly cringe/awkward (given the history of the BRF), slightly long and fiery but it wasn't as one couldn't understand or follow If you didn't understand it, it's fine and understandable.

Can you please share were you found the news that they needed have an American at the service? I'd be interested in reading that. Other than what Curryong also pointed out, we don't have how much contact they've had and even if they had none. There is a connection, him marrying them is just as a valid a connection as anything else.

Archbishop Curry is based in NYC, New York so I doubt that the Sussexes have been attending any of his services unless they happen to be in the area or vice versa. Also considering that recently as 2020 the world was on lock down and  attendance at in person church services across the U.S. were very limited depending upon your state and  county's mandates, it's likely that the Sussexes kept in touch with Archbishop Curry through other means.   There are three local Episcopal congregations in Santa Barbara area  which is part of the Diocese of Los Angeles. With Archbishop Curry being ill, it makes sense that he'd recommend the Bishop of Los Angeles, Rev. John Taylor to bestow the sacrament on little Lilibet. At this point in time, I don't plan to speculate on the Sussexes' church attendance.

Some general information on Archbishop Curry can be found in the link below. Currently he serves as the Primate of the Episcopal Church, thus making him the highest ranking bishop in the American Episcopal Church since his election in 2015. He is also the first person of color to hold that esteemed office.  As the highest ranking representative of the Episcopal Church in the U.S., he presided over the funerals of the late President George H.W. Bush and Senator John McCain.  (Typically there's only one Primate per country though the UK has two-Canterbury and York.) Due to his position, I can understand why he was invited to give the much remarked upon 14 minute sermon at the wedding of Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle in 2018. @Curryong is correct in stating that the couple were actually married by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby who is the highest ranking spiritual leader of the Anglican church.  The British monarch is the head of the Church of England.

Presiding Bishop Michael Curry ? The Episcopal Church (https://www.episcopalchurch.org/presiding-bishop-michael-curry/)

QuoteThe Most Rev. Michael Bruce Curry is Presiding Bishop and Primate of The Episcopal Church.  He is the Chief Pastor and serves as President and Chief Executive Officer, and as Chair of the Executive Council of the Episcopal Church.

Presiding Bishop Curry was installed as the 27th Presiding Bishop and Primate of The Episcopal Church on November 1, 2015.  He was elected to a nine-year term and confirmed at the 78th General Convention of The Episcopal Church in Salt Lake City, UT, on June 27, 2015.

Happy Birthday Prince Archie!

I hope your papa get home quickly and you wake up to a lot of fun and joy! In honor of Archie's birthday, his fundraise (And Lili's) has already smashed the goal and is at $58,494, I can't wait to see what it'll be like for Lili's bday.

I know they rarely release photos and I don't expect it to be a full frontal shot but hopefully, within a few days we get a photo of Archie for his bday! I don't expect it today because of "over shadowing the coronation!" cries but something cute like him holding the balloon or with his chickens soon.

Yes I?ve just wished Archie a Happy Birthday on a thread in another forum. Four years old! Can?t believe it!

That money total is fantastic. The girls and guys have really outdone themselves this year. I?m looking for a couple of photos in the next few days. One of Archie by himself doing something interesting, lol, and maybe a family foursome one. But that might be a step too far!

Haha! I realized this was my mistake as well. I thought I posted this in the family milestones thread! And same! I feel like I?m asking for too much for two, a solo and family pic. Just a cute one of Archie would be fine.

Also, want to ask the Mods, if they could move my post to the right thread. I realized that I posted in the wrong one.

For the Washington boys and girls branch to do this for Archie is so lovely, so sweet. The kids all look delighted. I?m sure one day Archie will visit them and be incredibly touched.

I hope Archie had a fantastic birthday. Somebody online was even sarcastic about Meghan?s making him a lemon cake, saying he wouldn?t like it when obviously he does. And actually, that type of homemade cake is my grandson?s favourite as well.

I'm guessing, if we don't get a photo of Archie this month, then maybe something around Lili's bday.

I also saw a comment that said with the release of the Netflix doc and all of the photos/videos we got of Archie and Lili, we might not get anything for a while. Which tracks.

Found this from Spare, Harry when he first say Meghan. A reminder that in this relationship, Meghan didn't hitch her tails to Harry. She was the prize, HE wanted HER.

And he got lucky his friend Violet gave him the pass over the men that had already asked about her.
