Congratulations to Eugenie and Jack on the birth of their baby boy!    Another male great grandkid for the  Queen and Prince Philip and born quite near to Andrew's birthday too! The Brooksbanks seem to specialise in boys!  The Portland is becoming a bit of a tradition for Royal births now as well.

Incidentally, is there going to be the criticism---screaming on Social media, accompanied by snide remarks from tabloid columnists, about the photo released on Eugenie's Twitter, in comparison to what greeted the photo of Harry's hand and his baby son?  After all, we see three hands here for the Brooksbank infant, mum, dad and baby, but it's rightly greeted as a 'delightful photo'. Double standards much?

I like the picture but I just think that it and Archie's first picture are really personal family photo's. They are not what I would have posted publicly.  However, it was their choice, not ours, and we should all avoid being critical.

Philip would be a good name to be used.

Ingrid Seward is the only person who cares about the succession and dragging Harry and Meghan into every piece she writes. She even wrote a whole load about the couple in her bio on 99 year old Prince Philip when it was completely unnecessary. Harry is not displaced in the line of succession so why write about it today and why state that he cares about the succession when he obviously doesn't? If he did he would have stayed within the institution.

And to assert that Meghan didn't know or understand about the Cambridges being the family of the heir and that she cares two hoots about it is also completely ridiculous. However as Ingrid has probably never ever spoken to Harry and never met Meghan it's par for the course for her and for the Sun, a fitting receptacle for the load of crap she's come out with today.

And for this 'Royal expert' to comment that Andrew was 'the favourite' because he was adorable, second in line and funny etc in contrast to Charles, is also rubbish, and just shows what she knows about the RF and BP. Zero! The truth is the staff and courtiers couldn't stand Andrew, who was rude, crude and arrogant from his earliest years and has remained that way.

Very sweet photos of the little family leaving hospital. Eugenie looking as pleased as punch, new father Jack driving very carefully!

Everybody is waiting, waiting for the name, and a glimpse of baby Brooksbank. Oliver, Arthur, Sebastian, Andrew, James, Philip, Marcus, Gabriel, have all been suggested.

Fergie has been remarkably restrained since the announcement but was seen on a video clip calling herself and Andrew 'Grannie' and 'Grandpa'!

I never liked it for Harry and Meghan, but, with it being close to the castle and to Royal Lodge, FC is probably ideal for the Brooksbanks.

Let's hope they won't be besieged as the Sussexes were for months, by vile remarks by trolls on SM about FC being haunted, being really really close to Royal graveyards where Wallis Simpson is buried, (drawing the longest of bows about divorced American royals,) etc etc etc. Not to mention tabloid lies about FC's yoga rooms and copper baths.

Nor, let's hope, will tabloid reporters trawl the estate nearby, hoping for dirt about the couple, so they can print untrue tales of withdrawal of staff car parks near the home, lists supposedly composed by the couple of orders for neighbours to comply with (also untrue) etc.

Because, if SM and the tabloids follow form (and we know the Yorkie princesses have been persecuted by the tabloids for years because of their parents and supposedly partying ways when single) FC may well be left empty once again as the occupants leave for pastures new.

Why would there be an official announcement from the Palace ref the baby name? Eugenie will more than likely announce it on her IG if she wants to or Fergie might blurt it out on Twitter. The Brooksbanks are private citizens and it's entirely up to them how they release info.

I have nothing whatever against Eugenie and Jack. They seem a nice couple. I'm just amused at the difference between how they have been practically cooed at  by tabloids and people on SM at their child's birth and what the Sussexes were practically crucified for during baby Archie's birth. Part photos of baby and parent hands, anyone! Demand for photos on leaving hospital not mentioned, hmmmm!

And in another twenty five years if Charlotte and Louis behave at their first babies' births as the Sussexes and Brooksbank did at theirs, what are the older tabloid journalists going to say then? Because IMO it's much more likely they'll be going that route than the endurance classic in front of banks of photographers, TV cameras on the hospital steps. What goes around comes around!

I agree @Princess Cassandraj. I'm just so happy for the Brooksbanks now that they're proud parents. Also I really like that the DoY and Sarah made mention in one of their posts that they consider Wolfie to be their "grandchild" and not a "step-grandchild."

August Philip Hawke is the name of Eugenie's baby. Unusual, almost a French name, but great that Philip is in there!  The photos show a lovely baby with his proud parents.

Eugenie and Jack reveal their baby?s unusual name with a touching tribute to Prince Philip ? Royal Central- There are two additional photos here in the article.

What a joyful photo. Jack is beaming with pride. Eugenie smiling but understandably looks a bit tired and uncomfortable if the reports that she had a C-section are true. Baby August is so adorable. Well the first Windsor baby of 2021 has made his appearance and now we can expect stork flyover for the  Tindall and Sussex deliveries in the coming months. I wonder if the DoY took the photos?

I knew it wouldn't be long before Fergie started gushing publicly over her new grandson and his parents. Presumably she hasn't seen August face to face yet if the Brooksbanks are at FC.
