Princess Anne and Prince Charles At Odds Over GM Food

Genetically modified crops do have a role to play in using land more efficiently, Princess Anne has argued, putting her at odds with her own brother over the British countryside.

The Princess Royal, who has farmed her Gatcombe estate in Gloucestershire farm since the 1970s, said help would be needed to feed the global population, with GM food a "good" way of making the most of the land.

Admitting she "seldom" discussed the subject with the Prince of Wales, she added humans must now focus on "how to get the best out of it so it works for humans and the globe in the long run".
