Can't read users posts

Sorry for the silly headline. I didn't know how else to word it!

But I clicked on a members/posters name out of curiosity in order to see their posts. But it said that I am 'not allowed to enter this section'. Why is that?

It is because of permission settings.  Regular members do not have that access.

Why is that? If I remember correctly, regular members were able to do that. Is there a reason as to why us regulars cannot?

As far as I know, this change happened before I returned to moderation. So I don't know why.
