Isabella was the eldest daughter of Edward III and Philippa.     
When she was three years old, her father attempted to arrange a marriage between Isabella and Pedro of Castile, the son of King Alfonso XI of Castile. Isabella did not marry Pedro.       
She married Enguerrand VII, Lord of Coucy.

Queen Philippa gave birth to Princess Isabella in 1332 at Woodstock. For the formal reception of the court after her churching, Princess Isabella wore a fir trimmed robe of Lucca silk. Philippa wore a red and purple pearl-embroidered velvet.
