This is sad news and I?m sure the Queen would have been really grieved to hear it. Fortune Fitzroy of course lived to a great age but had been part of the Queen?s life for a very long time, both as a friend and as a Courtier. One of the penalties of living to the Queen?s age is that so many friends of younger days start to leave and the Dowager Duchess is just the latest.
